Proposed the theory that everyone has an underlying general intelligence, called “g.” This is why people who score well on performance of one area generally score well in other areas too.

Weakness: some argue that intelligence can be understood as two capacities (crystallized and fluid) not just one g. Some others, like Gardener, proposed even more areas of intelligence.
Strength: this theory explained the tendency for people to score well in multiple areas.

Gardner

His theory is that there are eight different intelligences to account for a broader range of human potential in children and adults. The types of intelligence are: linguistic, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist.

One strength of the theory is that it helps explain individual differences in different types of mental performance.

One weakness is that many people question if the eight categories are really intelligences, or if they’re just abilities people may have.

His theory was the Triarchic theory. The Triarhic theory describes three distinct types of intelligence that a person can possess. He calls the three theory’s practical intelligenc, creative intelligence, and analytical intellegence.

Strength- If a person who has more strength in one component, can thrive more than others

Weakness- you can be too broad because there are only three components and can be said to be more of a social skill rather than a form of intelligence.
