The 1920's has been called the golden age of sports. Many workers had more leisure time and money to spend their money on. Which meant that bigger stadiums were being built and gymnasiums. Like now many people spend their pass time watching sports on TV or going in real life to see them just because they can and enjoy watching them. Also people watch sports because they always hear crazy stories about people breaking records and setting new ones or even some being called the "GOAT" of that sports and they just want to see history happen in that sport.

What effects did It have in our society back then?

The effects that sports had on society were huge. Sports games were where people of all races and color could sit down and enjoy their favorite teams play against each other and win. Like today people enjoy hosting parties just to watch any sport just so they can hang out with each other and have a good. Also watching sports is also a way family gets closer together because of how your family might like one team and you and your family are always ready to watch the game and have a great time even if the win or lose the game. They also have a huge effect on society because you never see someone who is sad or depressed when they go to the game they are always excited and happy to watch the game.

Some Heroes of the 1920s

One of the biggest heroes of the 1920s was Babe Ruth who changed the course of watching sports. Before Babe Ruth there hadn't been a "Star Player" in any sport that people could follow before it was just following the team instead of just one player. Another hero of the 1920s is Harold Edward George he was an NFL running-back for the Chicago Bears. George was the Babe Ruth of football, in both cases having star players made each sport have more and more watchers and follower to see the sport.
Heroes of today include Micheal Jordan and Tom Brady. Every kid the loves basketball wants to be like Micheal Jordan why? because he is well known by everyone as being the greatest player to ever play basketball, it also inspires teens and kids that you can accomplish your dreams all you got to do is work hard for them. Tom Brady on the other hand is someone people either hate or love dearly because of either the deflating case or how he is close to his 40s and still playing better than ever even at his age.
