They are also similar because they both thought that they had discovered the americas first, but researches found out that neither one was right. Although he was out for gold and glory the two of them are very different. They are very different because Columbus claimed the land for Spain unlike Vespucci who did not claim any land for his country.

He was speechless and didn’t have anything to say about them because in one of his entry’s he wrote, “Beyond the fact that they have no church, no religion, and are not idolaters, what more can I say.” His perspective on them is basically saying that he is in awe by the fact that they have no religion like the people in his country. This is different and similar to present time because of the ebola virus. The ebola virus is similar because it killed many people, but it is also different because they found a way to prevent this virus.
