In my classes I generally prefer using listening materials and activities from my coursebooks. Because these are prepared before and in our teachers' book there are the instructions that we can follow. I have to admit I chose this because it's the least tiring and easist way, follow the course book. I try to change the task. The tasks are generally above my student' level. Especially for 11th grades.
After today's listening activities, especially pre- reading part, I can say that I don't focus on being students motivated and engaged. From now on I will try to make my students more motivated, I will try to draw their attention with pre-reading activities. I think I can adapt them to my classes.
I will definetely use 'text with lies'. I will choose a topic to appropriate their level of English and interest then I will use it.
And I would like to try 'memory game when my students number is apprpriate. I think this could be challenging for classroom management. It takes too much time when answering part come if there are many groups.
And I can say that after today, I will be more careful about instructions. I will give short, clear, direct instructions and I will check their understanding with ICQs.

I think students are afraid of making mistakes and they don't want to speak in front of their friends. They are afraid of being humiliated by others even if the others can make mistakes. They don't feel comfortable when they are speaking English.

Frist of all I can say honestly that I thought I did speaking activities but after today I can admit I tried to make speaking activities. I would like to use group activities more. To form these groups I can use 'categories' or give them numbers or colors name. Forming group can be time consuming but I will definitely try to use it more.
Secondly I would like to use 'paper slide'. Students feel more comfortable while they are working in a group. I can use paper slide or without technology I can adapt paper slide into my classes. My Students can make presentation with their group members.
Thirdly I will definitely use flip grid for speaking exam for my classes. I have classes with 41 students and evaluating their speaking abilities by face-to-face exam is really time consuming. With my collegues we have decided to take them online but haven't decided via which platform. I think we found our solution, flip-grid.
thanks for these lovely sharings

While we were doing reading activities, I used reading aloud and tried to focus on every single word and structures and because of these reading parts were really tiring and stressing for my sudents. Actually I know how to support reading skill but I forget to use.
I want to use reading race in my classes. If I arrange it very carefully, I can use it. It is also good for kinesthetic learners. They can support their group. And I want to use 'line-up discussion' in my PDCs. Teachers can discuss the PDCs topic, I haven't knowm the topic yet but if it is suitable, I want to use it. teachers can share their opinions.
Monitoring is so important that with a bad monitoring you can harm students motivation, concentration, confidence easily. I did bad monitoring and it was even bad experience for me.
When it comes to feedback, there are several ways to give feedback. It changes up to your aim, to your task, to your time etc.

We can digitalize our writing tasks bu using renderforest, storyjumper etc. And also doing writing tasks as a group can get their attention too. It will be time saving for us when we give feedback.

I have a language class and students are preparing for university entrance exam. In this class, we examine grammer structures deeply and for the clear meaning using native language can be an effective way.

We can use lots of different ways of presenting vocabularies such as miming, picturing, story telling, synonyms. But I think students' involvement and fun will make it more effective.

I have enjoyed preparing and presenting our PDC session. We shared our thoughts about our PDC and I think it was a well-prepared PDC session. Of course it has some parts to be developed, but totally it was practical and usefull before our own real PDCs. It was entertaining, funny, clear. And also our participatns were great. They did great work in 'running dictation', 'Aunt Agony' and each part of it. I think they enjoyed and liked our PDC.
Some parts were needed to be developed because in our real PDCs our participants may not have so much information about our topic. And we should have demonsrated every step before the task.
I think we handled it well.
Thanks to participating trainig with this enthusiastic group and with you lovely trainers, it became a great opportunity and experience for me.
Thanks for your guidance. :)
