The purpose of this poster is to attract attention to an upcoming event - in this case, a zombie walk. It informs the viewer by drawing them in visually. Information shown on the poster includes the date, time, when and where. Also, the online website to register. 

Colours featured are minimalistic only composed of 3 shades of green, black and white. These colours are not unusual for a poster of this kind; it helps cement the idea of a zombie walk. Green reflects the eeriness and contrasts well against the black and white. The white is used to draw attention to the poster.

The key image shown on the poster is the zombies. These zombies stand out due to the colour palette selected. These zombies contrast against the title of the sign "ZOMBIE WALK".

The lower half of the poster shows both information on the location and time of the event; it also features stylised images of zombies. The top half informs the viewer with the title in bold (this takes up most of the top sector). Otherwise, a stylised version of the city of Sydney is present in the background.

Every image in this poster is 'cartoonized.' Every model has been hand drawn to suit the theme of the sign creating a very professionally made poster. None of the elements in the poster stand out by themselves but instead coincides perfectly to balance the image.

Two colours are present in the title; green and black. The font is primarily made up of black which would blend in with the black of the background sky, if not for the green which outlines the two producing a distinct yet noticeable title.

The font used is bold and confronting - yet, somehow playful. Perhaps due to the wiggliness of the font relating back to the theme of the zombie walk. These unstraight lines could reflect 'the chills" or maybe flesh, e.g. the brain.

No 'tagline' is present in this poster. It does feature (as before mentioned), a title of the event and its location.

The layout of the poster is balanced and creates a sense of depth. Depth is achieved by the creator demonstrating the correct use of sizing throughout the image.  

This poster is appealing/informing to anyone who would like to participate in the zombie walk. Evident due to both the posters design and the information held on it. It appeals to both kids with its 'cartoony' themes and adults due to both its colour scheme and event details.

This poster I believe has a very (very) unbeatable design. As before mentioned, depth, colour and visuals all progress and made it something special.

Simplicity can sometimes be the best way to do a poster as a posters primary function is to convey a message at a glance.
Double Exposure - This type of style would bring a suffocated and professional tone to the poster. If used correctly it would work really well with a zombie themed poster.
Duo-Tone - Duo-Tone is a versatile effect that can be used in photography or in stylized cartoons.
Low Poly - A simplistic, yet, time consuming art-form. A hand appearing from the ground.

Depending on the location of the poster sometimes a landmark is used from that area.
Colour schemes include but are not limited to:
Black and white
Greens
Reds
Yellows
a tri-chromatic colour scheme

For me what makes a good poster is its uniqueness and its willingness to standout amongst the crowd.
It needs to inform the viewer visually.
