Using 5 vocab. words from your [Vocab. 681-690 set {travail --> colloquy}], answer the following questions about "Teenagers and Chores." (1.) Why should teenagers contribute to their households? (2.) What's wrong with letting parents take care of everything (ex: cleaning after everyone/pets, paying rent/mortgage/bills, cooking meals, taking out trash, doing laundry, maintaining the patio/yard, washing the car, disciplining kids, making sure homework is done, etc.)? (3.) What does having chores teach teenagers? What does having chores/taking responsibility teach you as a young adult? (4.) Name the chores you help your parents/guardians with and explain why you help out. (5.) How can you contribute more around the house? Can you commit to consistently helping your parents/guardians maintain your living space (keeping your room clean, entertaining/cleaning after your pets, completing your homework everyday)? // Reminder: your parents work to provide for you, buy you the things you need, and put you through private education to ensure you are learning in a safe environment, and it is only fair if you do your part now that you are a young adult (even if you have a maid/even if you are well off).

1. They should help out around the house because the parents are starting to get old. The teens should do the physical stuff like take out the trash and the parents should pay for stuff because they have a lot more money. It teaches them to have self discipline. I take out the garbage because i don't want my parents doing it. I can vacuum the floor every once and a while. I can also try to clean my room and try to keep it clean all the time.

1. Teenagers should contribute to their households because parents shouldn't have to do it all. Soon they are going to be adults and need to grow up. So parents need to sit down and have a discussion with their kids so they can get it together and find some solutions.
2. You shouldn't let parents take care of everything. If my mom had a long day at work, I would't want her to come home and have to worry about cleaning up or washing the dishes. Everything would already be handled.
3. Having chores prepares teenagers for the real world. When they reach a certain age mom and dad are not always going to be there they have to do things on their own. Doing chores is not travail to kids. Kids today are just lazy.
4. I wash the dishes, clean up the living, make sure dinner is ready when my mom gets home. Anything that I see that needs to be cleaned or fixed I do it. I help out because my mom always does for me so in return I want to keep her happy.
5. I feel like I already contribute a lot so I don't think I need to change anything. I do what I have to do to keep a clean house.

Teens should contribute to their household because their parents worked hard for all the things that they have and they should be able to at least help around the house.
2. .Parents typically do not take care of everything in a teenagers life. Everyone in the household should team up and contribute to the stability of their house.
2. It is not fair to make your parents do all of the work because much like us they do their travail daily.
3. Having chores helps us prepare for the responsibilities that come with living alone or outside of the house later on like when we go to college.
4.I like to have an organized and juxtapose room. After I finish chores I always feel luscious. Since I am almost never home because of dance, and school, my housekeeper does the laundry and dishes. However I always clean my room and clean up whatever mess I made.
5.

1. This article can goad many kids today, but the truth is kids should help around the house. Teenagers today should help around the house because our parents are very busy at work, and they do not have anytime to clean themselves. We can correlate many pros and cons about doing chores and not doing chores.
2. Many kids believe making their bed is travail, but it really isn't. If we do not help our parents do chores, it will be very hard for our parents to make money for school and very important causes.
3. If teenagers have chores, it will help them get a head start in life. We will feel accomplished in the morning when we make our beds and clean our room in the morning. Teenagers who have chores seem to be more responsible and not messy. Having a dirty room can exhilarate many arguments with your parents.
4. My family and I have a crazy amount of animals, so my job is to feed them all and also help around the house. If all my brothers and sisters did not help, my parents would not be able to go to work and to keep our family stable.
5. Many teenagers make cavil points about chores but we really need to help our parents.I will start helping more and not leaving everything to the last minute. I will try to manage my time more often.

1. Teenagers should start contribute household help because you'll be doing your parents a favor and giving them less stress and work to deal with. It also benefits you for your future.
2. The problems of parents doing everything for the child is that they become spoiled and lazy. They never want to do anything for themselves because they think there parents will do it for them.
3. Having chores teaches your teenagers life skills, and it makes them feel responsible. They can take pride in there good deeds of helping around the house.
4. I usual help clean the dishes, laundry, and clean me and my brothers room.
5. I can contribute more into my household chores by correlating with my brother by switching chores every other day. I can take out the trash and he can wash the dishes. We can do little things that can make a big difference to my parents

1. Students should contribute in family chores because it helps out the whole family and helps to earn a sense of responsibility and gain a greater work ethic.
2. The problem with letting parents do everything is the fact that we do need to learn eventually and be able to be a normal working citizen in the community.
3. Doing chores teaches teenagers to be able to maintain more responsibilities. It teaches us young adults to be able to live by ourselves in our own houses.
4. I take out the garbage, do the dishes, do my part of the laundry, clean all the cars, and clean the front yard and backyard, cleaning my room, and cleaning my bathroom.
5. I do as much as I think I can as a child of that family. I have been doing these chores since 6th grade.
6
