What you have here are MOVEMENTS.<br><br>Now you can use some of this material. <br><br>For instance, in Cubism, is there something that makes that movement seem modern? Is there a subject, like modern life, cafes, newspapers, that seem modern? Are these subjects also present in other modern movements?<br><br>Are there aspects of art we have studied so far that seems "modern" to you? What about the way color is used? What about the way that form is used? What about the materials or mediums?<br><br>A "principle of modernism" will be a quality or idea or approach that is present in MANY modern movements. <br><br>A "principle of modernism" will be a quality or idea or approach that makes a modern work of art seem different from a traditional work of art.<br><br>The five principles of modern art on YOUR padlet wall will be YOUR OPINIONS about modern art. It does not matter if the qualities you find modern are the same as the qualities that I or another student or some writer finds modern.
