This question of what is deviance, sparks a conversations between many individuals. Being a deviant is considered to be someone who is an outcast or does not have the capability to blend in to be of the "normal" expectations for a civilian. When I read the articles on deviance, it makes me reflect about how all the people that are deviant are also the ones that rebel against all laws knowing that they are breaking them. There is at least one point in all of our lives where we have been deviant, with or without our knowledge, but there are many who commit these misdemeanors purposely. Are these all an affect of how we grew up, or is the society that taught us skills to role play in to the real life situations.

Who does the law consider as deviant individuals?

Many people are considered as a deviant, there are many components to this term. Alcoholism, smoking, underage illicit substance abuse, eating disorders, and sex exploitation. These are all influenced with the personality, environment, upbringing, and social influences. People usually are influenced by these factors as the society nowadays have the expectations of how they should be. For example let's discuss how one dresses, if people really didn't have a perception on how people looked, we wouldn't be spending more money, we wouldn't be robbing stores for these designer brands, etc. These are the people the law can consider a deviant, but of course there are many more aspects.

Legends like MLK Jr. are considered as heroic deviants, they are treated as outlaws by the social community, the government, and those with a great influence on the society. Going against laws to make sure that the colored people and everyone that were involved in this line of inequality were all served the justice they deserved, making his mark in history and changing the perspective of life. This is one of the upsides of being a deviant.

The difference between DEVIANT and DEVIANCE

Deviance is a term that is used to categorize the behaviors that go against the values and expectations of the society. When using the term deviance we are explaining their behaviors that go against every normality, we should not use deviance when we are convicting someone of their behavior. Which brings us to the word deviant, we use this word to justify why someone commits these behaviors. When we see these 2 words there's not much of a difference of the meaning, but there is a difference on how it is used in sentences.

Can DEVIANT habits be prevented?

Many are influenced by the society and the people they grow or hang around with, majority of these individuals are convinced to do things to look better for people around them. Being apart of todays generation I can most definitely agree with this statement, people seek for others validation and would do anything in any means to validate someone else.
