She has led multiple Los Angeles based organizations, these organization have won progressive ballot measures, implemented the first ever Civilian Oversight Commission, and fought against a $3.5 billion jail plan. Black people deserve equality, and not have to worry about it being shot in our own homes, like Breanna Taylor, or Stephon Clark, and there are so many other situations where people lost their lives because of social injustice, and racism.
