It can be a role of a son, mum, an employee or an employer. While socializing we learn how to fulfill our roles. If we fail, we can meet with negative feedback from the rest of the society.

Those norms allow to organize social life and avoid and protect important values. There are two different types of norms:
formal norms - law set by authorities
