I chose to read 20 new books from Epic's Award Winning Books. I added these books to my personal library as well as to the PowerPoint above. I was able to read chapter books, short fiction stories, and biographies. Each book had a different and important theme for young children to learn about.

For my final project, I decided to find and read 20 new award winning books on Epic Reading. I created a Powerpoint with all of the books that I read, and added them into my Padlet Library. I read a lot of different types of books with different aspects and themes that would be important for students to read and learn about.

For my final inquiry I interviewed 3 children that range in the grade levels of K-5. I asked the children how they felt about reading and literature. I put their responses in the PowerPoint along with their favorite books at the moment. I did put where I thought I could see some growth in their knowledge of literature and how I could fix that when I'm a teacher.

For my final inquiry project, I decided to read 20 of the new award winning books that are on Epic. After I read these books I put them all in Google slides and then also added them into my padlet library. All of these books had different themes that would benefit my students within my future classroom and I believe the themes that are presented are very important for my students to learn about.

For my final inquiry project, I read and analyzed 20 books from epic.com. I added all of these books to my personal library and to the powerpoint attached above. I learned a lot from these books and also learned a lot about epic.com and how it can be a very valuable resource in my future classroom. I read a lot of different types of books that covered a variety of topics. Overall, I gained a lot from this experience.

Presley Hastings- Text Set

For my final injury project I decided to pick 10 books and make a text set. I picked the theme kindness for my text set. In my powerpoint you will be able to see how I have organized every book. I did one slide that talks about why the book fits into the theme of kindness and the literacy activity that goes with it. Then I had another slide of all the information about the book. I learned a lot from this project, how even though books may have the same theme they can go about explaining that theme in a completely different way. I explained a little more about this on the last slide of my Powerpoint for why I chose to do a text set and pick the theme of kindness.

For the final, we found 20 books on Epic and added them to our Padlets. We wanted to do this option so that we could build our Libraries and have this resource to refer to in the future. We found a variety of books so that we could have a lot to choose from in the future. We are both now comfortable with using Epic and will be using this resource in the future!

For our final inquiry project we looked at various artistic elements in picture books. We found books about artists that represented their different art styles as well as picture books that we found to have unique art elements. We have a total of 10 books each with their own artistic style!

For my final inquiry project, I choose to add 20 books from the site Epic to my Padlet Library and to this PowerPoint. I tried my best to add a variety of different kinds of books, such as both nonfiction and fiction, and picture books and chapter books. All of them had different themes and overarching messages being portrayed as well.

For my final inquiry project I decided on expanding my padlet library by 20 books. Over the past two weeks, I have consistently read 20 children and chapter books in total. This project was exciting for me and gave me the chance to feel like a book worm. I was never a consistent reader until this class, but it has given me a new hobby!

For my final inquiry project, I worked to expand my library by reading and analyzing 20 books. I was able to expand my knowledge of many books greatly as I didnt realize how many different genres, themes, and plots there were in different books. I really enjoyed getting to dive deeper into books.

Hannah Davidson - Read Aloud Lesson

For my final inquiry project, I made a read aloud lesson that focuses on students being able to identify the who, what, where, when, why and how of the story. This textual evidence is used to help students identify the main message of the story read. I chose the story "What if everybody did that?" This story is about a little boy who go makes actions that may affect other people. Throughout the story we learn that our actions can impact people and things way more than we may think so it is important to understand this life lesson.

I did a text set for my final inquiry project. The theme I picked was relationships with a more in depth look into friendship. I compared 8 books and looked at the theme of each. Some of them all had relationships/ friendships which contributed to the plot.

For our final inquiry project we decided to do a text set with 8 books that surrounded the theme, kindness. We each read a set of books, and analyzed it based on how we saw it fitting with the theme. We posted the cover, author, genre, publication date, brief summary, and then the connection to the theme.

I chose to analyze the book "The Rough Faced Girl" This was such a great took for me to truly look closer at a story and see what makes a children's story acceptable to be shared in a classroom.

For my final inquiry project, I chose to analyze 8 different books that touch on difficult topics for children, and even adults. I chose to write about "Mum and Dad Glue", "If You're So Smart, How Come You Can't Spell Mississippi?", "The Copper Tree", "Mermaid", "My Underpants Rule!", "Luna's Red Hat", "Really and Truly", and "Jack Not Jackie". I chose to do both perspectives as to why teachers should read them and why they should not.

I chose to complete a paired text project on social emotional learning, because I believe that it is crucial for the developmental age of children that I work with. It provides a great set of stories that I can read during story time, and be able to have those meaningful conversations with children.
