The book that I am currently reading is called: Success for teens. This book is actually more of a guide than an actual reading book. The book is about choices that a teenager should make as he/she lives his life. I am a teenager myself so I can really relate to a lot a lot of the situations that the teenagers in this book go through. In addition, this book covers all the topics that a teenager, even an adult should keep in mind while they are living their life. One of the lessons I will defiantly keep in mind is failure, no matter how much it happens to you will always lead to success. When it comes to inventing something. their is always going to be something that you have to think twice about before presenting your product to the world.

What I like about this book

Just by reading the first chapter of this book, I was able to relate and take notes on the passage. In addition, after every chapter in this book, there are parts where you can write your response to the topic that was being discussed in the last chapter. Those questions are there so that you can discuss with the author about how you feel after reading the chapter. It also keeps the book nice and short so that you don't get bored while reading it. Most of the characters in this book went through hard times during high school. In fact, they all went through the process of getting bad grades to improving at the end of the school year. I was able to make a connection to this because whenever I have a bad grade in a class I try my best to get done all the work that is given. Unfortunately, after improving one grade another grade goes down so then I have to shift my focus.

Unlike most books, Success for Teens does not have another type of book cover. In addition, just by looking at this picture I can already tell that the book is a guide.

Important messages

"Every achievement, accomplishment, and success start somewhere." This is an important quote because it is something that everyone should keep in mind. When it comes to achieving a goal in life, it always starts with a small step. For example, when you tried to learn to walk as a baby, you got a made a small step and then fell back on your butt. However as you kept on trying, you eventually learned to walk properly. ( Pg: 53)

"Using the moment means taking control of your life in the moment right now, today." There are some offers in life that only come once. It is because of this that we as humans must learn to take those offers, especially when they are very rare. Even when it comes to school if a teacher offers to stay late after school even if he/she doesn't want to. Take this chance and get some help for an assignment that you are having trouble doing. ( Pg:37 )

"By now you understand the secret to success is a failure." I can really relate to this quote in so many ways. As I think about it, this is the secret that my dad used in order to get me to be better in chess. When I was younger by dad taught me the basics of chess. This included the rules, the way the pieces move, and the goal of the game. After he did all of this he didn't have the extra time to teach me anything else so he made me play his laptop all the time. Each and every time I played the laptop I was beaten no matter how many times I pressed the undo button. However, of the years my elementary school had started a chess team the I over time became interested in. I still remember ending my friends winning streak over the rest of the players. Anyways, the point that I am trying to make is this. The more I played the laptop, the more I learned from it and used it during my battles. (Pg: 67 )

Why is it recommended?

This book can be really helpful who are struggling to get on the right path. Even though the title is Success for Teens, this does not mean the adults can't use it as well. There are some tips in the book that adults can still use today. For example, in the book, it mentions that your habits pretty much control your life. However, there are positive and negative habits. Positive habits are the habits that you control that make your life better. Negative habits are things that you do all the time that could negatively impact your health or your life. Habits such as smoking are negative habits because even though it might feel good to smoke every once it a while, just be aware of the way that smoking affects your body. In conclusion, I would recommend this book to anyone who is having trouble getting back on their feet.

It might sound like workout music but that's the whole point of this book. The point of it is to give you advice on how to run your life. In other words, this song is trying to tell you to get off your butt and go do something better with your life that your only going to live once. Note: this song gets pretty loud in the middle.
