Work conditions can involve always working indoors in hospitals, schools, industries, counseling centers, and other settings. As a clinical psychologist you may work physically near patients. They may come within a few feet, especially during counseling sessions. When it comes to hours it really comes down to when clients need appointments, you may work full time or part time. Also working days, evenings, or weekends to meet deadlines or accommodate clients. You could work both alone & under a company. I think the job is more emotionally demanding than physically demanding, because it deals with helping mentally sick people.

The path to becoming a psychologist usually begins with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, where students learn the fundamentals. You must then obtain a graduate degree. While some graduate programs accept applicants with an undergraduate degree in other disciplines, most encourage students to get a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Each graduate program determines its own entrance requirements. Most doctoral degrees take five to seven years to complete. If you want to practice as a psychologist in clinical psychology, you will also have to complete a one-year internship as part of your doctoral study in your area of practice. Some universities and professional schools offer a PsyD degree, PhD or EdD degree. I think that taking Psychology in High School would definitely help, and having a charismatic personality would not hurt when it comes to this profession.
