One parent calls a local talk radio show to complain about the assignment as "indoctrination," and submits both a written complaint and a document asking for her child to get "an assignment NOT made on the basis of race."  They also submit a FOIL request for a copy of the books on the list compiled by the library, and for "any library books that promote CRT." 

Social media and local news networks are demanding the teacher be disciplined or fired and asking the school administration and board for a response.
