For example, the Turkish language it self was not originally written in the Latin alphabet, originally it was written in the Arabic script, though they added the extra letters گ، چ، پ، ژ، ڭ because these sounds exist in Turkish but dont exist in Arabic. Turkiye has also left a very heavy footprint on the balkans & the levant, especially Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia, Syria, and Lebanon.

UAE culture is no exception. It is also very much mixed, as many tribes came from different parts of Arabia. Some have their roots in Hadharmout, Yemen, some have their roots in the Hejaz(modern day west Saudi Arabia). Even with in the same village, people can have different cultures, weddings, foods, dialects, and more just based on wether or not they were Nomads (ابدوي) or if they’re from the cities (حضري). Many cultures such as the Baluchis, Pashtuns, Omanis, British, Portugal, Persians, Indians, and even Turks all mixed into the UAE’s cultures. Some Arab peoples didn’t even originate in Arabia, instead in Omani controlled Baluchistan, Qassimite Bandar Abbas & Qeshm, and even Turkiye.

Men usually wear Kandooras and Hamdaniyas for a sporty, casual look (nowadays some people wear baseball caps as well). Each headdress has different meaning. The traditional cap written as Taqiya but pronounced as Tagiya (AKA Gah’fiya) is usually worn during Friday prayers and around the house, the turban called the Hamdaniya is usually worn by youngsters and/or when running errands, and the Ghutra & Agal is worn in formal occasions like weddings, meetings, work, school (if they’re the teacher), graduations, and is worn by the clergy but tilted back when worn by the clergy because when they prostrate, the Igal may fall. The Bisht is also worn by the clergy, newly-weds, and political leaders. There’s also a winter coat called the Farwa which is usually worn when out in nature.

The women usually wear Abayas when outside, this is to keep modest, but when in private they wear a form of kandora called Jalabiya/Mkhawar. This is worn at weddings and around the house. Many older women can also be seen wearing golden burqas. They also like wearing Moroccan Kaftans sometimes. Usually when a women is married to a well off man, the man can sometimes either buy or rent out a big gold piece for her wedding night which include a chestplate, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, ankletes, and more.
