Key Words: Fear, Technology, Future,
Summary: This article talks about the future of technology and why it is starting to become scary for some people. It talks about a future where everyone and everything is controlled by computers entirely. This includes but is not limited to: cars, home appliances, fish tanks, and even contact lenses. They used an example with Amazon when they showed off a microwave powered by the virtual assistant Alexa. It was said by one person that the only thing that can save the general public from having no privacy is for the government to intervene and set stricter boundaries for companies. Most people believe that these things are cool, but in the long run the risks of having your security taken over are much larger and not worth it unless the proper steps are taken to ensure it can't be breached. Amazon is now planning to sell their technology to other companies so it can be implemented universally.
Opinion: In my opinion, the author brings up a valid point. This all sounds good, but in reality its only making your home and your life less secure and giving people even more ways to take advantage of your privacy. It is also making humans more lazy as everything will be automated instead of just getting up and doing something. This could ultimately lead to more health problems in the long run. If this technology does become more mainstream however, their needs to be laws or boundaries put into place to ensure the safety of the public.
Source: This source is reliable because it is the New York Times, a big news company that has been around and has been well known for quite some time.

Key Words: Digital ID, Dangerous, Insecure,
Summary: This article goes into the artificial intelligence side of things. It talks about how the government and companies such as banks want to implement digital ID's into people to make things more "seamless". The problem is that these systems have room for error and are insecure. The public would have no privacy as geolocation identifiers could track you in real time and pinpoint your exact location. The machines could also be built on data that is biased and discriminatory. This would never be seen though as these machines are digital and therefore not under human review like regular people are. If this technology was implemented universally, we will be living in a world it will be necessary to function from day to day activities. The author talks about how their needs to be human rights policies put into place and that the public should not just turn an eye to these types of things without ensuring their privacy and security will be protected.
Opinion: I agree with the author. This technology would definitely make things easier in our day to day lives. Especially with things like traveling or paying for things at a store. The only problem with this is the security and privacy issue. I do not want someone to be able to know exactly where I am every second of the day it would making me feel uncomfortable just knowing I'm possibly being watched. Also, what if someones identity is stolen? It would make it even easier for criminals to access people's data and information.
Source: This source is a well known news source and has accurate information regarding artificial intelligence being developed in China.

Key Words: Cars, Danger, Hacking, Concerned
Summary: This article talks about the concern drivers have about cars being almost completely automated now. Everything from the tire pressure sensor to remote control apps, its all accessible because many cars now even have wifi. Some studies showed that 16% of people knew someone that had been subject to this hacking. The scary number however is the 99% of people who had no idea that their cars could be hacked in the first place. Since this technology is becoming more popular it is estimated that there will be another rise in motor vehicle crimes since the huge decline in recent years. One new concern is dealing with insurance and determining whether or not your car insurance company will cover you if you are subject to a motor vehicle incident due to hacking.
Opinion: I agree with the author completely. Companies need to put better security firewalls in cars to avoid these types of incidents from happening. With the large amount of cars being on the road at a time and with so many people having kids, pets, and babies riding along with them, a hacker causing an accident could mean a fatality for a family on a highway, or worse, multiple fatalities due to the crash as well. This could also be used to target people while they are driving which raises a concern about privacy.
Source: This source turned out to be reliable. I fact checked most of their data on google and it was true. They also quoted data from reliable companies and therefore weren't making the information up.

Key Words: Advantages, Disadvantages
Summary: This article talks about the various advantages and disadvantages of modern technology. It talks about how we are improving in efficiency for things such as industry or farming companies, but on the other hand we are becoming too dependent on technology. If our whole world is run by machines then what will humans do? Seems to be the main point that is made in this article. It also briefly mentions the negative impacts technology is having on children.
Opinion: I agree with a lot of the points mentioned in this article, many humans jobs are already being taken over by machines putting people out of work simply because companies want to increase profits.
Source: This source seems to be reliable even though its not from a big company. The information is true and there are no opinionated statements.

Key Words: Healthcare, Positives, Advantages
Summary: This article talks about the advancements we have made in medicine because of technology. A good example of this are robots that perform surgery. Robots have more precision than humans and therefore the success rate for surgeries will be higher with less complications. Another advancement is in medicine. We have used technology to formulate more efficient vaccines.
Opinion: I think this is one of the really good uses of technology. Medicine advancements are getting better and better because of different technologies allowing humans to be healthier and possibly live longer.
Source: This source is credible because the company talking about it is a reputable healthcare business.

Most people did not favor new technologies and feared them. This is because people felt as though these companies did not have regulations put on them and did not have people's best interest at hand. An overwhelming 70% of Americans believed that robots would take over our lives.
Opinion: I think this brings up an interesting point and shows that people are very educated when it comes to technology. I feel that more laws and regulations need to be put in place to alleviate people's concerns.
Source: This source is credible because it presents real world data.

It shows the different levels of concern people have when it comes to different topics concerning future technology. The majority of people who were surveyed were concerned about their free will as a human. Some people even feared that they would lose their autonomy or jobs due to robots and other innovations. The only thing that the majority of people accepted was using technology for medical advances.
Opinion: This shows that the only thing people can see these technologies being useful for is medicine. Every other topic talked about always had split numbers and was very controversial which is seen in the data presented.
Source: This source is credible because it presents real world data.
