It means that you can be unfairly treated simply because of your certain race without any other reasoning. In the example I provided it is an article in which informs us that certain college admissions have been discriminating students chances of being entered in the school simply based on their race. Which is an all right  injustice because being a person of color it is already like the world is against you but now being discriminated against when your application can be just as good as any other student is unfair. The example discusses how certain Asian Americans have been discriminated against through the university of Harvard which hurts their chances of getting in. The article is a perfect example of the concept I described because the college admissions process has been looking at student based on their certain race or ethnicity and deciding which is clearly discrimination. It can be offensive to judge someone off based on their certain race or gender. The example I chose for the stereotype is an image that marks certain colors for a certain gender like blue is for boys and pink is for girls. This example is demonstrating that from a young age colors are categorized for children based on their sex. The example also shows the stereotype that if you are a girl you have to like pink things and if you are a boy you need to like a manly color like blue. This is a good example for my description of the concept stereotype because one of the main stereotypes I always faced being a female was I was not allowed to like certain colors because growing up my mother stereotyped my brothers from my sisters meaning I had to wear pink and my brother wasn't allowed to wear that color. Not only that but my example emphasizes on judging someone based on their gender in this case based on a gender a certain color is associated with. It's also a certain cultural group that might also have unequal resources compared to the higher ethnic population. The example I chose is an image of my own family, I fall under the concept of minority group. The example is more deeper than just a family picture. Through this image I  see a single hard working immigrant mother who raised three children. I also see my aunt and uncle who worked hard in the fields picking oranges just to make less than a dollar. When I see the concept of minority groups I see myself I see a small latino family trying to make it in a white dominated society. This example is perfect for the concept of Minority group because like i mentioned i see a small latino community behind this family picture. It's a perfect example of a cultural group that has unequal resources because my single mother, being an immigrant, struggled to get resources like food stamps. It means looking at a certain gender like Women and seeing them less than or not in the same level as another gender. The example I chose was an image illustrating men going up an escalator and a woman having to have a ladder in order to get to the same place. The example is emphasizing how women are set at a disadvantage and have to find their way to get to the top. The example shows just how easy it is for men to use the escalator metaphorically but a woman is left on her own to use a ladder. This illustration is a perfect example of my definition because it draws attention to the key word “disadvantage”. From the image itself it's showing men going up an escalator at an ease while the women is left at the bottom. It can basically mean being part of a community that believes in a higher power. The example I chose was an image that represents my own religion which is Catholic. This image is a picture I took when my church group visited this sign in Los Angeles that said “Jesus Saves”. The example is illustrating a certain religion which in my case is Catholic. The example is also demonstrating how words like “Jesus saves' ' can have a real impact because it's such a strong phrase. Why this is a good example is because the concept of  religion is very important to me and illustrating my own through an image captured by me I think is perfect for describing this concept. The example goes beyond the image. It can say the words ``Jesus” in it but understanding what it means when you're part of that community that worships and has faith in a certain God is what religion really means.
