- I thought IR has limited types of needles/ equipment. 


- I thought the procedures were mostly associated with Ultrasound

- I now know that IR involves many different procedures, those could be for diagnostic AND therapeutic purposes.

- IR has many different equipment and needles utilized depending on the type of procedure and the site of body being punctured/accessed.

- IR can be done under ANY type of imaging modality: CT, US, MRI, Fluoroscopy. 

- IR procedures may involve many health care professionals such as nurses, not just technologists and radiologists.
