Tone: Exciting with a Bit of a Dark Ending
I chose this song because it kind of had a dark tone which goes very well with this chapter. This song relates to chapter 6 because when the song says "We're going in circles" it describes how Hiram felt when in the reductive conversation with Ralph. Also when the song says "Your never getting out!" and "Nooo!" it descibes how Emmett (Bobo) Till felt when drowning.

The reason why I chose this song was because it talks about how someone or something that is important or very meaningful is lost. This song represents chapter 3 because it describes how Hiram felt when his Grandmother died. It also describes how he felt when he was forced to leave Greenwood. During this time he was sad and very resentful when all of this was happening.

The Show Goes On by Lupe Fiasco says even in the most worst time, life continues. I chose this song because it represents how Hiram feels after Emmitt (Bobo) Till died. He realizes that he has another problem and that life goes on.
He has to deal with the trial, how Niaom feels, how is grandfather feels and what is the right thing to do during the trial.

This song relates to this chapter because it talks about how the singer feels very strong about coming back to his home. Hiram is coming back to his home town, Greenwood, after being away in Arizona for many years. Similar to the singer, Hiram is very ecstatic to see his grandfather and Naomi.

This song relates to this chapter because it talks about remembering someone. Hiram can't forget about how Emmitt Till was being bullied and how he didn't do anything about it. Hiram was good friends with Emmitt and he did have sympathy for him. He couldn't forget how R.C bullied Emmitt and he just stood there.

The reason I chose this song to go well with this chapter is because it talks about how things are going to get CRAZY! In this chapter it talks about how Hiram's father and grandfather don't get along very well. Towards the end of the chapter Grandpa snaps on Hiram for helping a Negro man. During that situation you know during the book there are going to be CRAZY times.

This song goes well with this chapter because it talks about how people thought Blocboy and Drake were nothing but now they are rich and have good lives. It also talks about how people thought Drake and Blocboy were one side but there now on the other side. In the chapter Hiram saw Greenwood from his father's point of view. He notice that he is more like his dad then his grandfather. In the song, when it says "We up on the other side" I think of how Hiram used to think he is more like his grandfather then dad but now it's the complete opposite.

Tone: Sad Then Surprising
This song fits this chapter because it talks about how Eric Clapton never knew his father until he got famous. His father didn't want money, only love from his son. Eric new that person was his father by looking in his father's eyes. In the beginning of this chapter Hiram had a dream about his father. He had a dream that his dad and him were fishing having a nice time. Then out of nowhere Hiram just stood up and left and head to a path that seemed important at the time. Then when he got back his dad wasn't there, he waited a few minutes not panicking but his dad still didn't come back and Hiram started crying. I think this chapter and song relate because both characters did what they thought was best at the time (Hiram walking away and Eric playing music), but at the end they both still really missed their fathers'.
