For more hands on classes like wood shop you can obviously see a clears connection, but people always question the things we learn in the more "theoretic" classes. Students don't always question what they're learning because there's a disconnect between what we know and what we're learning. Since my school has a very low population, I do understand that we have a lack of teachers but students learn at different paces so when you mix applied or academic students, it gets challenging for both sides. Classes are often mixed between Academic students and Applied, which makes it challenging to fully get the learning experience that I need. Some courses and tasks are too easy for some students, while others find it too challenging. This makes classes confusing. Depending on if the teacher has been teaching a certain class for years, or if they have just been thrown into it, you can tell very easily about their comfort level. If the teacher knows what they are teaching very well I feel challenged in a good way. If the teacher is teaching a class for the very first time, I feel challenged in a disproportionate way. Sometimes it's a challenge to question information as it is relevant to our current lives, and to express our opinions as the curious people that we are.
