These nine are called the essential amino acids . Proteins build and preparid tissues and fight off infections . Together with carbohydrates and fats , proteins are also our bodies' energy source. -ANIMAL PROTEINS:<br>such as meat , fish , eggs , milk and cheese , contain a good balance of all the amino acids that we need.&nbsp;<br>-PLANT PROTEINS:<br>such as cereals and legumes , are lower in amino acids.</div>]]></description>
