People can reduce waste by saving natural resources,. When people recycle and compost, they reduce the demand for raw resources. For example, recycling paper reduces the need for materials, but composting food waste reduces the requirement for chemical fertilisers. By reducing trash, fewer resources will be taken from the environment. These conservation measures serve to maintain the environment's equilibrium and ensure that resources are available for future generations. It also reduces the environmental impact of resource utilisation and processing. Finally, by reducing, reusing, and recycling, individuals may help to preserve natural resources and protect our environment. Reducing waste helps to reduce pollution levels. Reducing waste means using less stuff.

Yes this is a good way.

This is because it makes the managing process convenient and more efficient. For example, as shown in the video, the lady put the recyclables in different bags labelled. paper and plastic. This benefits the workers helping sort the recyclables at the recycling site. When they come across the bags, they will know that the contents inside are plastic, paper or cans. Thus, they can simply put the bags at their respective places for the different categories, rather than looking through every recyclable individually. Therefore, allowing saving time, making the process more efficient and convenient.

Another reason is because it helps to reduce contamination. By doing this, the quality of the materials will be higher too. For example, with the bags, the recyclables in the bag cannot come in contact with any dirty recyclables, increasing the recycling rate. Personally, my family also split our recyclables into three categories and also made sure to rinse and dry them before placing them into their respective bags.

However, others may disagree that this is a good way to collect and manage waste. Some people may feel that separating the recyclables may be too much work, This could potentially discourage them to recycle ,since it is too inconvenient for them, leading to lower recycling rate and higher rate of general waste burnt. All in all, this method is efficient and less time-consuming, though others may have differing opinions on this method.

Yes, I agree that this is a good way to collect and manage waste as it is well organised. No matter where you look, there is never a single place where you cannot find these different coloured bins with different labels that aid in recycling all around Singapore. A bin for plastic, cans, glass, and paper is available for Singaporeans to throw away their recyclable thrash with ease. Since there are special components are present for each type of recyclable, the area would look neat and tidy.

Another reason this method is efficient is because they are readily available. Be it in shopping malls, at void decks, or even at neighbourhood parks, there is no common space in Singapore that does not have this type of bin. Singaporeans can recycle at their own time, own pace, and own target, without having to worry about where these bins are located closest to them, as they can be found everywhere! Since these bins are readily available, Singaporeans will be more encouraged to recycle their rubbish without and worry.

Despite all this, others may disagree with me about this method of managing waste as they find that many are not paying attention to the bins at all. Many Singaporeans do not take the initiative to recycle their rubbish even when the bin is right before them as they say that it is troublesome to sort their rubbish when they can instead just throw them all into one bin. This may discourage them to recycle their trash, and may increase the amount of waste generated.

All in all, I still agree that this method is a good way to manage our waste as it is well organised and readily available, but others may disagree with my opinion as they would find that many may not pay attention to it.

Yes, I feel that looking after our environment is important so that we can lead a healthy life on earth. Right now, climate change and global warming have started taking over the world, changing it as the days go on. Our irresponsible acts are the main cause of this drastic change that we face. If we still do not take any action now, the conditions are going to become even more horrid, with new illnesses being diagnosed every day, people will have to be fearful of everything. To prevent such events from happening, we must start acting now.

Another reason we should look after the environment is so that our future generations can continue to live on earth. As far as humans know, the only planet in our solar system that can support live is planet earth. If we continue to neglect the health of the place we call home, then we may be the last of our kind to live in it. We must do our part to ensure that we pass on the earth to those coming after us, in the condition we found it, or in an even better one.

However, others may disagree with me and may say that it is not their responsibility, but it is others who need to do their part to save the environment. Many would say that 'I did my part. Others need to do theirs because I did a lot'. Even though that may be true, the actions done may not be enough.

Overall, I still believe that saving the environment is important as our surroundings have a significant impact on our health, and we need to ensure that more generations to come can live on earth, although others may disagree that it is not their responsibility.

I've adopted principles and sustainable habits to reduce my environmental footprint and hopefully inspire those around me to do the same Firstly, I reduce, reuse and recycle. I only purchase products with minimal plastic packaging, eschew one-time plastics and use energy-efficient appliances to reduce energy consumption. Following that, I donate old clothes and toys to give them a second life and repurpose glass jars and plastic containers for storage. I also engage in occasional DIY projects to repurpose old blankets into shirts, and other household items to minimize one-time usage and textile waste. Recycling, which is an integral part of my routine, means that I diligently separate recyclables into their respective categories and compost organic waste. For example, I clean textile waste, electronics and food waste thoroughly to prevent contamination, then dispose of them into their respective bins. Apart from these three principles, I also frequently take public transport to reduce carbon emissions as well as air and noise pollution.

Furthermore, I constantly use social media as an avenue to share my environmental-friendly practices and encourage my peers as well as repost tips and ways we can better care for our mother earth. This helps teenagers to better relate to this topic and have a more significant impact in persuading them to take action. By involving my inner circle of friends and family, I can reach out a broader circle of people, and even to other age groups; or people who lack the resources to lead a more sustainable lifestyle.

I believe that through advocating for environmental protection, I can inspire others to reduce the disintegration of our earth. This results in more people contributing towards a collective effort to reduce ecological footprint and protect our world.

Firstly, people can reduce their usage of single use Plastic items. Plastic usage is one of the most common waste polluting our environment and our oceans. By opting for reusable alternatives, people can significantly cut down on the waste we generate from these items. For example, people can use reusable bags when they go shopping, or even bring their own food containers when going to hawker centres to buy food back home. By cutting down on our single use plastics, we are able to significantly reduce the amount of waste we generate.

Secondly, people can also recycle their waste. By recycling, we are able to minimize the amount of waste sent to landfills. Recycling transforms waste materials into new products, conserving natural resources and reducing landfill contributions. This process helps in conserving energy and reducing pollution associated with manufacturing new products. For example, everytime we buy drinks outside that come in cans and plastic bottles, after we consume the drinks, we can wash them cans and bottles and toss them into the blue recycling bins instead of the regular bins we throw our trash. By recycling, we are taking a fundamental step in waste reduction.

Lastly, people can also reduce their amounts of food waste. By planning meals, using shopping lists, and properly storing food, individuals can significantly decrease the amount of food that goes uneaten. Techniques such as freezing leftovers or repurposing ingredients can also help maximize food usage, reducing waste. For example, when ordering food, we can order less first, only if we are hungry, then we can proceed to order more after finishing our first serving. After cooking at home, if there are leftovers, people can store them in reusable containers to eat as leftovers another day. By reducing our food waste, we are able to reduce the amount of waste we generate.

In conclusion, people are able to reduce waste by reducing our use of single-use plastics, recycling more and reducing our food waste. These are just some of the ways to reduce waste and there are many more.

Firstly, people can reduce waste by using reusable bags. This can be in the form of using canvas totes, wine bags, and cooler bags which having a longer shelf life compared to non reusable bags like plastic. Additionally, most of the materials of these bags are waterproof, biodegradable. Therefore, by using such bags, we can reduce pollution and sustain he environment.

Secondly, people can reduce waste by using a reusable bottle. For instance, instead of plastic bottles, people can try opt for better alternative like aluminum or stainless steel. This help to mitigate environmental issues when it comes to decomposition as plastic takes an extremely long time to get rid of. Hence, this will help to improve the environment even for a little.

Alternatively, others may argue that reducing waste require more time and effort compared to less environment friendly options. This is due to the lack of concern or awareness of the negative impact of the environment. This will empower them to believe that they do not need to go out of thier way to better than the environment.

In conclusion, I believe that there more pros than cons to reduce waste like using reusable bags and bottles which can help us to have a more sustainable future.

I play a part in saving the environment by using reusable items such as tote bags and waterbottles instead of plastic bags and plastic bottles. Seeing as reusable items can be used for a longer compared to plastics. When items are being produced, greenhouse gases are emitted which contributes to climate change. Production also uses up a lot of resources from the Earth which can be used for better purposes.

Another way I save the environment is through reducing my electricity usage. Instead of using air conditioning, I use a fan as it takes up less electricity and I switch appliances off when not in use. Through using less energy, there will be less demand for fossil fuels and thus lowering the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

I think looking after our environment is important. Firstly, People always tend to leave litter behind after they have finished their meal, however this leads to birds going into stores to consume and increase their population creating more noise and pollutions to the environment. Additionally, when people throw away their trash inappropriately, it may result in destroying the environment. Instead, the country and improve that problem by implementing more waste disposal amenities so that others can dispose their trash into the nearest bin.

Secondly, I feel that it is important to look after our environment so that the future generations can continue to grow. The environment is getting worse due to the climate change. It is due to the people's irresponsible act that causes change in the world and resulting our future generations suffering from polluted air and insignificant amount of drinking water.

However, others may argue that with the technology improving, people can solve environmental problems and challenges easily. However, the process may take a long time, resulting in slow industrialization, limiting job creation and increasing costs in businesses.

In conclusion, we need to look after the environment so that it does not affect our lives. Making our future generation’s future clean and safe.
