• Don't wait to the last minute to start on work since it can put you behind. Try to always keep up with your work.

• Something that really helped me was taking notes, highlighting, making definitions in your own words so they make sense to you, also flashcards help a lot, also study at least twice a week to make sure you're taking in and remembering the information and understanding.

• If you fall behind the best thing to do is go back to where you understood everything and built yourself back up little by little but as quick as you can since this is a very fast-paced class that expects a lot from you; Also don's focus on being right focus on understanding remember you're learning more in dept.

• Mr.I is kind of like a college professor take this class as a practice class before entering college/University. I really advice taking time to really understand this class and try and be ahead of the flow.

I didn’t expect Mr. Iromuanya’s class to challenge me in the way that it did when I didn't make studying fun. Rewriting stuff in a book isn't studying and I found that out the hard way during class. Downloading Quizlet and making your own digital flashcards is definitely recommended though. This helped me cram before tests, and I would end up getting A's anyway because flashcards is such a good way of building your short-term memory. On top of that, watch videos on top of the lesson and seek more knowledge of the topic outside the class. This would help with connecting topics, and it'll allow you to see things better.

Advice to the future AP Biology Students

Remember to review ur notes and pay attention to the slideshows and definitions that are provided to you and make sure to keep up with ur assignments. Stay focused and organized with your tasks.

If I could go back and do one thing differently, I would prioritize reviewing my notes and looking at the slides and being able to obtain as much information as possible.

Don’t wait until the last minute to review the nine units in this class since they will be all touched on in the AP exam and start reviewing the units on time like a month before the exam that way the units are all refreshed in your mind and you're not confused in the AP exam.

Also keep track of your exams and don't do ur CERs last minute because they will come out badly if you make them last minute and plan out.

If I could go back and do one thing differently, I would not get so focused on filling in the blank packets to feel good about it. Now id rather write the notes in my notebook and actually retain the knowledge than have to flip back to a packet every now and then because I forgot a process or a definition.

As the first AP Biology class for Mr.Iromuanya I would say that this class wasn't as bad as I thought,especially as being the only IEP kid in this class.People that aren't in the class may seem that the class is extremely hard but it really isn't escpecially as an IEP student.As an IEP student you do have advantages like extra days to make up work/assignments and everything it's a good thing take advantage of it but not too much.If you're an IEP student don't be afraid to take AP Biology because if I can do it then so can you just work hard,stay focused and don't give up.

One thing I wish I had taken more seriously in this class was the practice of the AP classroom multiple choice questions; the way they word the questions is so tricky, you could be 100% confident and be wrong on the question. I recommend that every student do some Khan Academy practice and use the Bluebook app to practice for the AP exam.

High school will test your stamina, studying techniques, ambition, and drive. You will be given opportunities, but you will also be given many obstacles. One word of advice I’d give is focus on the long term goals not momentary satisfaction. Surround yourself with like minded people, and real ones who benefit you not leach off of you. Give yourself grace, and every thing you deserve will be granted in time. Walk by faith and not by sight, and don’t freak out about anything you can’t control. 

I would describe Mr. Iromuanya is a teacher who makes a lot of jokes so don’t take it all too seriously. He’s definitely a different teacher I will say that. He’s not the regular teacher that believes in just teaching the subject. He teaches us real life, and prepares us for college and our futures/ careers at once. He will push you and there will be times where all you want to do is cry. But that’s okay and that’s human so just cry… Don’t be ashamed to feel- his class is definitely one where you are free to be unique and unapologetically you. You’re safe and it’s going to be okay. Trust me trusting him is the best thing you can do. He knows the process and purpose inside and out so don’t stress or feel like the process isn’t necessary; because everything you do is a progression and it will pay off. 

One thing that really helped me stay focused and organized was Mr. It's two notebook techniques. It allowed me the opportunity to take notes while the discussions were taking place and then retake new notes and a neater, more concise way. It also allowed me to retain more of the information and it was a less stressful note taking technique.

One mistake I made early in Mr.I class was leaving everything to the last minute and it taught me that you should be on top with your assignments because it will bring your grade down, by a lot, so be mindful of that. Manage your time, make "time blocks" to study specific topics. It will make your life easier. If you don't like the topic, make it interesting for you, find things that will motivate you but do your work, AP Bio is not easy if you don't study

Don’t wait until the last minute to ask a question. Sometimes, Mr.I seems to be in a rush, and you might feel overlooked, but the second you begin talking, you'll notice how interested he is in solving your issue. Mr.I genuinely cares about his students, but you have to care about his class. And if you miss a day's work, show up at his office and bother him about the work, it'll show him you're actually interested in learning.

Don’t wait until the last minute to do your CER's. The prompt or guiding question might appear easy but once you start writing you will realize that it's not and it will have you STRESSING. Start to work on it the same day it's uploaded because Mr.I checks them immediately after the due date. Check your slides, look for additional videos or resources but start your CER on time.

• DO THE ASSIGNMENTS ON TIME, if you didn't then you better have had a good reason because Mr. I Be having not that many assessments.

• Also learn Vocab because literally randomly in class Mr.I will just mention it and it will mostly definitely raise your eyebrows like The Rock.

A habit I wish I had developed sooner is writing off the top of my head. With the CER's I would get to focused on making it perfect and saying the perfect things, and I would end up writing such a small answer. But I began practicing blurting out my ideas and organizing after and my writing experience became way better.

If you're ever falling behind, the best thing you can do is talk to Mr.I. He will help you without a doubt, it's up to you if you take his help or not. Also, go tutoring and talk to your classmates, no question is stupid or weird.

If I could go back and do one thing differently, I would manage my time better and do my assignments on time. I would ask more questions and be more focused in class. There were times where I did good on a topic or lesson but that effort was lost when I didn't turn in my assignments. Don't be like me ^^

1) If I could go back and do one thing differently, I would study early. I thought I could wait until the last minute, and that really was stressful. Now, looking back, I really should have created a plan and followed it so that I could have absorbed things more thoroughly.
