  • Safety = Instagram has a two-factor authentication feature to secure each users’ account even after they enter the correct password and Instagram also allows users to private their Instagram. As well as keeping each users’ personal data from getting leaked.
  • Easy to Learn = New Instagram users don’t have to bother searching for tutorials, since this app is easy to use. Users could use Instagram right away after installing it. Since the icon of every tool that the user uses is related to their daily life (common). For instance, the icon of the searching tools is a magnifier as if the user is searching for something (Familiar icons). As well as, the symbol and menu is familiar like other application, for instance the timeline in Instagram is similar to the timeline in Line app.
  • Efficient to Use (Efficiency) = It’s easy and quick to post pictures, scroll through feeds, see a person’s profile or discover other users' posts. Just by clicking one button in the explore button, it’ll show us a lot of pictures from different accounts, allowing us to see other people's posts that we don't follow.  Or we only need 1 click to see an account's story. Even almost every feature in Instagram took less than 5 clicks. (the task can be quickly completed).
  • Good Utility = Instagram allows users to communicate with people, share pictures/videos, and company marketing; all in one app. 
  • Effective = It allows us to make a post correctly and show it to other people in their home timeline, help people to interact and communicate with others by direct messaging or liking or commenting on each others’ posts virtually. And if it's a business account, it allows us to see how many people have interacted with our account and our post, even the progress of the account overtime. Also, when we search for an account, it'll show the correct user account we are searching. Now, we can also add more than 1 picture in 1 post (multiple-post). We can also share other people's posts in our story. As well as, now we can add music, multiple-picture(collage), and add a poll to our story, we can also collaborate with other people when we are doing a live in Instagram (live with other people).
  • Memorability = even after a long time not using instagram, the user will still know how to use it, since the design is simple, consistent over time, and the icon is related to our daily life. It keeps you signed in until you log out.

    - enjoyable = The feature in instagram is enjoyable to use and it's a stress-reliever app, that why people enjoy it.
    - engaging = because we can interact and communicate with other people
    - exciting = because we can see other people's life and update, as well as seeing the posts of the stuff that we like
    - entertaining = instagram doesn't only contain posts of other people's life, we can also see funny memes posts, etc. that will entertain the user.
    - enhancing sociability = Just like engaging, Instagram allow us to increase our social status or our social life.
    - fun =  since it's fun to explore things in Instagram. For instance : shopping, chatting, etc.
    - emotionally fulfilling = it can lift up our emotion or mood by seeing the stuff in Instagram

    Undesireable aspects :
    - boring : Instagram won't be very fun after using it for a long period of time, since Instagram is user-update oriented, so it'll only be fun if there's a constant update from the user. Thus, when there's no longer update from the user it'll be boring.

  • Instructing: Instagram uses the interaction type of instructing. Users can select options from the menu that is provided. For example, users can like posts by clicking the like button, see history by clicking the love button, view messages by selecting the message option, etc.

    • Manipulating: Instagram also uses manipulating type. For example, users can like a post by double-tapping the picture, see other posts or reels by swiping the post, zoom images by pinching out and holding the image, etc.

    • Responding: Instagram uses responding interaction type to actively interact with its users. The app likes to give some friends recommendations to follow or updates from someone that we follow (Ex. 'A' posted a story for the first time, 'A' started a live video, etc).
