"The forest is my house, but you may cut off my branches and build a house.

The once young and energetic boy was now nothing but a pathetic and lonely old man, with no friends and family left, went to the tree seeking consolence. Writhing with rage the tree was unforgiving, after being abandoned and stranded, it wished for nothing but peace. The old man pleaded but the tree was not willing to forgive him. “Good riddance…” said the old man, as he set the torch ablaze, before tossing the burning the torch onto the tree burning it. The tree writhed and struggled in agony being burned alive was unbearable.

Overtime the pain began to numb, the flame made it very hot. However, at the same time, the tree felt cold inside, having been betrayed by the man once again. The old man was a vicious wolf, having stolen everything from the tree including its life. The old man sat down on a branch and bid farewell to an ‘old friend’. Once again the icy depths of our cruel and unforgiving world devoured the old mans life, the heat of the flame was put out and gone forever, just like their friendship…
