         <description><![CDATA[<div> Burke's idea of tradition versus modernity in the sense of rejecting the self-centered alternative socioeconomic systems that have been encountered. As well, emphasizing the found sociocultural project that would be the transition of defining a new national identity and its obstacles. <br>There is a connection between Corinne and the participation of those in society as a whole to influence the national identity. However, the fear of this is not represented in Edgeworth but seen as an emotional distress causing an ennui perspective. </div>]]></description>

We convince ourselves that it is a choice but it is actually a necessity. </li></ul><div>Ex. “I drink because I like the taste of it.” “No dude, you need to drink water to survive.” </div><ul><li>Because Earl Glenthorn is not a part of society, he feels “ennui.”</li><li>We see something new in both the novel and our own world related to individual autonomy and expectations of society. </li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Through Earl Glenthorne, we can see a character that reconciles the two dominant economic classes. Ennui is a Burkean critique of the relations between Ireland and England. This interpretation of Burke is through which reformation should be done within the constraints of social limits. This reform is seen thus far in the novel by Earl Glenthorne's apathy being mitigated by helping the poor in an effort to bridge the economic classes.<br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
