Interviewers ask this question because they want to see what drives you the most. Your also being tested on your level of interest for the job. My resume is a reflection of me. I did a good job explaining my qualifications and strengths, and personally feel like I did not sugar coat anything. If I am hired, I can show my potential and show that my resume is not exaggerated. 

Avoid lying on your cover letter and resume. Tell the interviewer that there is not exaggeration on your resume, and that it can be shown if you were hired for the position you are applying for.

when answering the question try and talk about how your skills can improve the department their hiring for. Answer the question on how your work ethic can motivate others to worker harder if they get off task. This is the company I want to work at. I have looked at other companies, but none seemed to stand out like this one. I feel that it is a perfect fit for me and I can excel in it. I love the environment and can see myself working here. 

Show that this company is the company you want to work for. Do not give a specific company, just give a description of what you would want to do. They are looking to see how interested and invested you are in their company.

  • People sometimes say I am too emotional and that I get too involved, however when I am dealing with unwell people and their families, I don’t think showing a little human emotion, empathy and sympathy is a bad thing.
  • People have often said that I sometimes am too nice to people, and that I should be a little tougher. I am only that way because I believe everyone deserves respect, even if they aren’t being very nice to me
  • People have said that I sometimes work too quickly and then finish the job with too much time to spare. I always find something else to do, and my work is always good quality, so I don’t see why it should be a problem

When answering you should avoid making it seem like you are more interested in working by yourself if this position is focused on working on a team. Is the job you're applying for your dream job? If yes, then say so, emphatically. If your dream job is far-flung or far-fetched, it's probably best not to mention it.
