I think the slave trade was very emotionally and physically straining on every family member of the soon to be slaves including the slaves themselves. I was emotional because they were getting taken away from their family and they did not know what was going on until they got to the plantations. It was physically straining because the amount of work they put in to achieve their job took long hours to achieve. Both of these things impacted the slave trade because some slaved lost faith and slave owners felt more powerful and motivated to get more slaves.

The physical and emotional impact of the slave trade on Africans was big. The Africans being sold into slavery got physical abuse and also had lack of food. Emotionally, they were terrified because they were about to get separated from their families and taken into a world that they know nothing about. The African rulers that sold the Africans into slavery were also effected because they had to live with selling people to be put in slavery and be separated from their families, and maybe even die on the slave ships.

Also, slaves were beaten or whipped when they did something wrong on a plantation or where they worked. Families were separated and that can take an emotional tole on people and maybe some depression.

They also suffered physical harm when they did not complete a job as the slave owner wanted. Africans would be whipped and beaten if they did not complete a job or they did a job to slow. Overall, Africans suffered greatly, emotionally and physically, during the times of the slave trade.
