My parents just had their 35th anniversary, and although my sibling and I are not best friends we were not distant either. My parents never divorced, and I have a brother and two sisters. There was some typical infighting of course, but nothing too drastic. I feel like my parents did a great job raising me, with one of them being more authoritative and the other less so. It was a good balance in my opinion.
