Hi Everyone!! My name is Kate Moss and I am going to be an instructor at the Haliburton location this year! This is my fourth year as an instructor for School's Cool. It is truly an incredible experience and I am so glad you all get to be a part of it! It is a program that I value very much and it truly makes my heart happy.

I am from Toronto and live up in Haliburton for the summer on Kashagawigamog Lake. I am going into my sixth year at Brock University in Concurrent Education.

I am looking forward to working with all of you! :)

^{I am an art school drop out where I found my passion for working with children and went back to school to pursue that dream. Over the past 6ish years, I have worked with children infant to 12, in places like Great Wolf Lodge, to childcare programming and now currently at the board. I just finished up my 2 year assignment in a kindergarten classroom in Simcoe County DSB. I have been right there with these poor kiddos as we made our way through kindergarten in a pandemic. Spending the last 4 months teaching kindergarten online has left me missing the in school experience and I am really looking forward to working in a classroom again along with the School's Cool team.}

Hello Everyone, my name is Rosie! this is my first year in the School's Cool program and I will an instructor at the Huntsville location. I am so excited for this opportunity and I can't wait to meet you guys in person this coming Wednesday :)

I am currently studying Languages and Literature at Laurier University, and also have my Early Childhood Education Certificate. I have been in the field of working with children for over 6 years now and I am loving it!

I am currently living in Barrie with my family, but will be moving to Gravenhurst this weekend yay! definitely a change but I can not wait to start this new journey.

My name is Reilly Mair and this is my first year as a School's Cool instructor in Gravenhurst!

I graduated from McMaster in 2020 with a degree in Justice, Political Philosophy & Law. I have taken this year off from school to figure out what I want to do with my degree, however, I'm now thinking about teacher's college so I will have to go back to school in the Fall of 2022.

As a camp counsellor at 16, I knew I wanted to work with kids in some capacity ever since. Currently, I am a 1:1 Support Worker for children in the foster care system in Muskoka and a Supply EA for TLDSB. Due to Covid, I haven't been able to do many 1:1 visits, so as a supply EA I was able to hold a long-term position from January-June in a Kindergarten classroom (and online) and absolutely loved it.

Looking forward to being in a school again with the School's Cool kids and meeting all of you!

My name is Katie Ferreri and this is my first year as a School's Cool instructor in Lindsay.

I just finished up my first year of teaching with Hastings and Prince Edward School Board. I spent the majority of my year in Grade 7/8 classes and did a lot of online teaching. I am very excited to be back in the classroom! I am qualified to teach 7-12 but I am really excited to be working in kindergarten for the summer. I am also a Skate Canada coach and have worked with this age group for many years.

Hi everyone, my name is Corie and this will be my first year as a School's Cool Instructor in Huntsville. I just finished my Bachelor of Ed. at Lakehead University and am excited to begin my career teaching! I worked as a Day Camp Counsellor previously for 6 summers and loved it. I've lived in Muskoka, moved around over the years living in a variety of places, including Australia for a year! I ended up coming back here as I just love the Muskoka region.

Hi, my name is Liz Chapman. This is my first year with schools cool, although I have assisted with running a very similar program for grade 2-4 students with the trillium Lakelands district school board.

I’ve been to college three times now for culinary skills, early childhood education and outdoor adventure education. I worked as a supply DECE for tldsb for almost four years then decided to take some time off to seek adventure. I took a leave of absence from the board to pursue snowboarding. I quickly found myself supervising the children’s ski and snowboard lesson programs at blue mountain resort. Unfortunately when the pandemic hit I found myself back at home in Kawartha Lakes area dealing with some health issues. I’m now living in Fenelon falls while I keep busy working on converting a mini school bus into a tiny home on wheels that will hopefully be ready for it first road trip by the end of August.

I am excited to be apart of the schools cool team as I have witness first hand how this type of program can be life changing for these kiddos. I’m looking forward to meeting you all in person and working together.

Hi Everyone! My name is Lucie Tyc and I will be a first time instructor at Stuart Baker ES in Haliburton this summer.

I have been working with children for over 20 years in daycare and as a dance teacher at Randolph College For The Perfoming Arts and Sunnybrook Private School in Toronto. I'm also a DJ and love working with couples and corporate events on their perfect playlist.

This will be my 8th year at my off grid property at The Haliburton Forest and look forward to working with the children and parents of this community.

I'm very excited to be a part of School's Cool 2021 and can't wait to work with all of you!

Hi everyone! My name is Eryn Tummonds and this is my second year with the Schools Cool Program. Last year I got the chance to work in Coby and will be returning there this year. It was an amazing experience that I feel so lucky to be apart of again.

I am currently doing my Masters of Education at Lakehead University, specializing in Indigenous Education. I recently just finished my BEd at Lakehead in April and have been supplying with TLDSB since then.

Hi everyone!

My name is Kelsey Jenkins, and I am going to be an instructor at the Lindsay location this year (Queen Vic). This is my 2^nd year working for School’s Cool and I’m very excited to be back!

I graduated from Nipissing University in 2015, with the qualifications to teach primary/junior. Since then, I have taught in Canada, England, New Zealand and Australia! I have been back in Canada for about 2 years, and I am now working for KPRDSB as a supply teacher.

I’m very excited to be back in a classroom, and can’t wait to meet everyone in person!

Hi everyone!

My name is Tanya Heck and I am going to be an instructor at the Lindsay location this year (King Albert). This is my second year with School's Cool and I am excited to be back this year!

Since I was in girl guides at a young age I have always had an interest in working with kids. Many of my work experiences are from day camp to sleep over camp, working in a variety of different daycare/childcare settings.

I graduated from Ryerson/George Brown with my ECE diploma and after that I decided to teach abroad. I taught in South Korea for 2 years and absolutely loved it! When I came back from Korea I moved up to Orillia where I completed by Bed in PJ at Lakehead University!

Since graduating from Lakehead my boyfriend and I decided to move up here to start fresh. Since we've moved here I have been supplying with KPRDSB and have completed a few LTO's as well. I am so excited to get back into a real classroom and to meet all of you as well! :)

My name is Emily, and this is my first summer working as a School's Cool Instructor. I will be located at one of the schools in Lindsay, but I'm still unsure of which one. I recently graduated from Trent University with an Honours degree in Child and Youth Studies and dual specializations in legal studies and applied ethics.

A few years ago, I returned to school as a mature student after completing the Developmental Services program at Fleming College and working several years as an Educational Assistant and in recreational programming for children of all abilities. I love working with kids, and I'm very excited to gain more first-hand experience this summer!

In addition to my experience with children, I am a freelance makeup artist and esthetician. Immediately after graduating high school, I was unsure of which career path to follow, so I have a diploma in Esthetics from Fleming, too!

I love working with and meeting new people, and I can't wait to meet everyone in person tomorrow!
