Execution of Tsar Nicholas and his family- July. 16-17, 1918

Tsar, Alexandra (his wife) and their five children with several of their loyal attendants, were all executed by Bolshevik forces in the basement of the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg. This event marked the end of the Romanov dynasty.

Assassination of Leon Trotsky- Aug. 21, 1940
