I frequently share background information about various cultures and countries to introduce lessons in my International Foods course. A Nearpod presentation could be used to assess students' prior knowledge through polling questions, take students on a tour of the country via a video, then have students identify common foods used in that culture/country's cooking by submitting images/recipes they find.

I could use this to deliver a lesson on Cisco commands and have the students work together to choose the correct commands to configure a router. The drawing section could also be used for students to "design" the network/router placement based on a given scenario. As of now, I use good old fashion paper. This would be a nice change.

I have not used this with students because of the lack of iPads in the primary level, but maybe it could fit into the minilesson I've been teaching everyday this week.... prepositional phrases and what prepositions are. If we had the tech, they could circle what the preposition is in each sentence. I noticed when grading papers tonight that many students did not circle the correct word -preposition.
