Do you think classes are going to try to do google meets more? One issue I've been having is that some assignments are getting buried in google classroom because teachers are posting so many assignments one by one at a time so some of them get overlooked easily. My academic question: Is the school board going to take in consideration students grades considering the pandemic going on?

What do you think if we continued doing online school all throughout high school?

I don't think classes are going to try to do google meets more because of possible disconnection. And also the fact that most of us don't check our email either rarely or not at all. Like the other day, I missed a google meet because i checked my email way too late. Another thing is the fact that older teachers do not know how to work a computer or ANY TYPE OF ELECTRONIC FROM THE 21ST CENTURY!!!! But yeah, I have a lot of frustrations about the google meets.

I hope the teachers will be more lenient on deadlines because I lost power for life a week and wasn't able to do any of my school work for a while because of that. AND the fact that students aren't allowed to see their friends or basically do anything outside of their home which causes A TON OF STRESS.

Some of my issues that I've encountered during the first week of distance learning is time with assignments. Teachers say that assignments should probably take about 30 minutes or more to complete. I had an assignment where I had to watch 3 videos ( 2 videos were 5 minutes long and the other one was 15 minutes but I skipped most of it since it displayed more examples than the lesson. It also took 5 minutes) Taking notes while watching the videos took about 2 hours to complete the whole assignment. Doing these routinely, it took more than 5 hours to complete all of my assignments for all of my classes for the day. I am also confused about the absences. Sometimes I complete my assignment late but I turn it in soon. That doesn't I'm not doing my assignments, I just turn it in late since assignments take way too long. My academic question: Will teachers be more lenient on deadlines?

How is the grading going to work?
I haven't really heard anything about grading besides the fact that we probably aren't doing standards anymore. It is making me a little nervous because none of my teachers have talked to me about how the grading is going to work out and I just want to have a little bit of an idea on how its gonna work . Also teachers aren't really giving me feedback on the work I turn in and I feel like they should because it's really hard to know if I'm doing it right or if I need more help. Other than that things are going ok!

Is the grading being changed? I´e heard from one of the teachers from another school that the grading will be back to letter grades. If the student has a D or lower it will be incomplete. All my teachers are saying that they do not know but hope to let us know by the end of the week but that keeps getting pushed back.

Some classes are taking longer than 30 minutes. For example math is hard because she uses handouts where you fill in the blank for vocab and drawings are being shown. So I have to write out all the handouts. It takes me 20 minutes at least to finish then I watch the 20-25 minutes video on how to solve equations. Then we have skills practices that take 15-30 minutes on how many questions. I understand there is a lot of information that must be shared in math but I would rather have my teacher give us better note taking ways.

Do you think colleges will take in consideration students grades during this pandemic? One issue I've been having is that it's hard to communicate with other students/teachers since the main way is over email and Google meets. My academic question is: Are all teachers going to do the Pass or Fall/incomplete grading system or are some going to put each assignment in like normal?

How is grading going to work? I still want my grades to go up but I am worried that because of distance learning my grades may go down or stay were they are.
How can teachers work on staying with the 30 min a day timeline? Some of my teachers assign things everyday and it feels like they take way longer then 30 minutes a day to finish. I feel like teachers should be more straight forward when assigning things and make sure they are following the timeline.

Are we going to be going back to school next year? I heard that teachers are going to put the tables 6 ft apart and for lunch we have to stay in one class. That's crazy! If you think about it when we go back to school in September that's flu season. So how are we going to keep everyone safe? I just hope that this all is over soon. I'm starting to lose all motivation.
