While the areas of Chad and other countries are not directly involved in the conflict, the influx of refugee traffic in these countries has made life that much harder on these countries, and therefore increasing tensions, as the article stated, with Sudan.

As asserted by a Gale Student Resources article "The African Union (AU) was the first to respond to the events in Darfur. In April of 2004, the AU initiated a ceasefire between the Sudanese government, its allied militia known as the Janjaweed, and the Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA)." The first to respond to the Genocide was the African Union which saw the violence and didn't want it to go any farther. The neighboring countries and other countries throughout Africa were obviously troubled by the disaster that is going on in Sudan, which urged the government to take action and call a cease-fire.This unfortunately did not faze either side of the conflict and they kept on fighting, to the dismay of the rest of Africa.

As stated in the Fact Monster article "Warfare also has spilled over into Chad, and Chadian rebels have based themselves in parts of Darfur." While most of Chad was worried about the increase of immigrants into their country others were worried about the fact that warfare had spread over into their country. The AU did not want this conflict to spread throughout Africa, so this was an obvious worry. Many of the citizens in these areas unfortunately joined in the fighting which doesn't bode well for the end of this conflict.

As claimed by ABC Clio"The darfur Peace and Accountability Act... is a 2006 bill that reaffirms the position of the U.S Congress that Sudanese government-sponsored violence in the region of darfur constitutes genocide, and it also introduces a number of measure aimed at stemming the conflict. Among other measures, the bill authorizes the president of the United States to impose asset freezes and travel restrictions..." This shows that there is support for horrible accounts and other events from other countries as well as the own government, at least in this case. unfortunately with small gangs and other groups gaining power and size all the time the government has lost power and has in some cases joined in on the crime.

Americans... have expressed great horror over Darfur and have demanded more action." Here is one example of how a country, in this case the U.S, and its citizens realize the horrors of what is going on during a genocide and are demanding response and action to be taken by their government.

As suggested by the book Not On Our Watch "The situation will get better. Trust us. ...The United States argued that circumstances in Darfur were getting better, and its policy-if given time-would result in peace and stability in the region." And here is the opposite of what a country's citizens/government think regarding a genocide. There are many isolationists who believe that Sudan will figure itself out but unfortunately that is not the case so far because the genocide/circle war has been going on since the turn of the century.
