Early 20th century, during the Dutch colonial period in Nusantara, which is now part of Indonesia, the Djahari family came to Billiton (Belitong) Island, have sailed from Brunei-North Borneo, part of Borneo Island. Djahari is the name of my great-grandfather, at the same time become a clan for my Billiton family. I'm Arry Aditsya Yoga, a child who born in the Island; middle of Karimata Strait, island abounds with tin, rare earth, and granite rocks. I was born one day before the world got the sad news; September 10th 2001, before the 911 tragedy, that destroys skyscrapers, world trade center.

my birthday is a reminder for myself. This reminds me to continue to study social humanities, lifelong learning; to understand the true meaning of humans and also environmental ethics, the great philosophy of life. I was born in a Billiton (Belitong) Malay - Islamic family, at the same time growing up among a very diverse, egalitarian society, fighting together to stay alive.

The reason of the title "Billitonezen" is to remember where I was born (Billiton or Belitong, and Citizen), which is where I will serve. The term of "Billitonezen" was first used in Dutch ethnographic notebooks about Billiton Island, The Billiton Gedenkboek, 1852-1927 by N.V. Billiton Maatschappij. Billitonezen term also used by Cornelis de Groot, envoy from the Dutch government for Billiton research.

Growing up on Belitung Island also made me really like travel, adventure, learning history and getting to know many cultures. I am also active for Belitong UNESCO Global Geopark, support to get international status of UNESCO Global Geopark, besides that I am also active in several discussion forums on culture and anthropology; like the co-founder of Billiton Renaissance school foundation and Findbilliton Research Team, also Indonesia Geopark Youth Forum under the Ministry of National Development Planning. Before joined many domestic communities, I graduated from high school, SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Pandan, Belitong Island (Senior high school number 1 of Tanjung Pandan) in 2019 then accepted into the anthropology department of Udayana University, Bali; but at the end of 2020 I decided to move to Universiti Utara Malaysia, I am interested in anthropology, but I want to get a new experience how to study in another country, see different education systems, with another art in teaching. Then I became a new student at Universiti Utara Malaysia in 2020.

I am very impressed with Malaysia with how Malaysia can be so innovative, with the best ranked colleges in Southeast Asia also unity in diversity. Especially Malaysia with a history of Malay culture, has extraordinary local knowledge, The selection of Malaysia as a place for bachelor (study) is also for reasons of cultural adjustment, minimizing my cultural shock.

I hope that what I learn here can be useful for human civilization which is linear with environmental ethics. I admit that sometimes my weakness is that I can't control my stress, so sometimes I get sick, or often sad for no reason. But i'm trying to solve it. I love meet with new people, people from different backgrounds, cultural-diversity, including different paradigms people. I hope we can collaborate well, innovate for the world, Hopefully-Aamiin.

A little note: This is Belitong Island, if lecturers or friends want to visit Belitong Island, just tell me and I can guide (Because I'm the one of Belitong UNESCO Global Geopark's researchers team 😁), adventure, introduce several people from the government to the indigenous people-community.
