The world was at war with each other for multiple reasons. One of the major conflicts was the disparity in the distribution of wealth between the rich and poor, because the wealthy were extremely wealthy and the poor, extremely poor. Only a small portion of the United States held a large portion of the country’s wealth. This distribution caused social reforms that had both opposition and support. People were also inputting credit into the stock market when they could not pay caused conflict among other people who invested in the stock market, as well the banks. 

With the ‘separate but equal’ ideology, it enforced that wealthy, white business men had control over private businesses, and could, in turn, still have near total control over African Americans. 

                Reinforced the idea of capitalism, since this ideology promoted no upward social mobility, it supported the idea of owning private businesses. Much of the wealthy citizens of America owned private companies—or monopolies—so they owned the largest amount of wealth in the nation, giving no chance for lower class citizens to rise in mobility
