My hobbies include hauling children to sporting events, packing cute Bento lunch boxes, and brainstorming ideas on what my future small business looks like. My name is Tina. I graduated high school in 2001. After graduation I was enrolled in classes to obtain a nursing degree when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I postponed my education to raise my daughter. My plan was to go back when she started school. Life happened and I didn't return. While helping my daughter research scholarships her Senior year, I decided to apply for a scholarship. To my surprise I was selected to receive a scholarship. I decided that if a stranger was willing to help me financially return to school then I was going to put in the work to be successful. There were many times I was tempted to give up, but I know our 4 kids are watching so that's not an option. After this semester I will obtain my Associate in Accounting! I currently work at Bill Harris Auto Center in Ashland, but I just accepted a position at North Central State College. My hobbies include spending time with my husband and watching our children do what they love. Two of our sons ( 6 & 16 years old) love showing horses. They show horses at the Wayne County Saddle Club and our 16 year old is involved in 4H and other local shows. The last 2 years he has been the Reserve Grand Champion in the Senior Division for Ground Roping at the state fair! We spend a lot of time in barns and arenas. Our daughter (soon to be 21) is in her 3rd year at OSU Mansfield. My son (17 years) decided to quit playing sports and I miss watching him. I am the Director of Ashland Youth Football Cheerleading. I'm not really sure what I hope to learn in this class, but I'm sure I will learn a lot.

I moved to Arizona in 2022 and have been living here since then with my cat (and my boyfriend, I guess), and decided I should try to get a degree again. I am now attending NCSC fully online pursuing a business management degree, which I hope to actually finish this time! Fun facts: I'm a type 1 diabetic of almost 17 years, and I only have 1 kidney after I had to have one removed back in 2020. Abraham Lincoln became the face of the penny from 1909 to current day. The second penny shown is a penny from 1851. The face of this penny is the Statue of Liberty. The first penny dates back to 1792-1793, and was larger than a quarter in size. There are multiple recognized symbols that were used as the face of the penny throughout the years, these are the few I have collected so far since 2022!

Previously I completed the Operations Management certification from NCSC in 2020 & in 2025 completed a Backend, SQL, and DevOps with Python Bootcamp through Nucamp. My name is Lindsay Dodd. I am 41 years old. I wanted to set an example to my minor and adult children that you can better yourself with a college degree at any age. Not only that, but make the Dean's list as well. I have 4 children, 3 boys, 25, 23, 18, and 1 daughter who is 10. I have 4 grandchildren. my 18 year old graduates high school this year and he is torn between electrician or attending OSU or North Central. I recommended Michigan. Yes, I am a fan. I am super proud of him wanting to be an electrician. If I were younger and could be on my feet all day, I would do it. Since I am old compared to most of you, I am excited to see what Microsoft Word has. I was amazed by the Excel class. I am so glad I waited to go back to school because the internet is completely different from when I graduated high school. Our cellphones just made phone calls.
