         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>In test tube, cofilin depolymerize actin filaments. Can we test if this is cells as well?</mark><br><br>In vitro and with test animals too. In vitro would be easier, it might have different effects in animals. And animal models may also have other depolymerizers. <br><br><mark>How we shold do it?<br>How we can manipulate cofiline and how we should analyze cells?</mark><br><br>We&nbsp; GFP label actin and have also control cells. We would use photo activation to separate black and green parts. <br><br>We are using 2 groups&nbsp;of cells (neurons) for control and a cofilin inhibited cell: Then, we mesure the depolymerisation&nbsp; speed in both cells throughout photoactivation with a fluorescent microscope. After that we are doing a statistical calcul to see if the numbers are significantly different and conclude.<br> <br><mark>How to test whether cofilin contributes to cellular processes?</mark><br><br>We would observe the effects in knock-out mice for cofilin. Or we could see what happens in microlevel in cells.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
