Our usrah leader, Sister Ro told us about how to gain positive values in performing ibadah.

There are three (3) essential points that should be taken seriously in performing ibadah. They are;

1) Set ourselves with the right niat/intentions.

2) Perform ibadah according to the right steps and correct Islamic protocols.

3) Perform ibadah with Ihsan ( In Islam, ihsan is the Muslim responsibility to obtain perfection, or excellence, in worship, such that Muslims try to worship God as if they see Him, and although they cannot see Him, they undoubtedly believe that He is constantly watching over them. )

⚪️ By applying these aspects in our daily ibadah routine, Inshaallah we will feel better and are able to perform ibadah with more perfection.

This week I’ve learned about the topic “Hikmah in Performing Ibadah”

There are four (4) types of Ibadah which are;

1) Salah
 > Performing the obligatory salah five times a day which is to perform the act of worshiping Allah SWT.

2) Zakah
 > Zakat is a form of almsgiving to the Muslim Ummah treated in Islam as a religious obligation, which, by Quranic ranking, is next after prayer in importance. As one of the Five Pillars of Islam, zakat is a religious duty for all Muslims who meet the necessary criteria of wealth to help the needy.

3) Fasting
 > Fasting is primarily an exercise of devotion to willingly renounce oneself, for a definite period of time, from all bodily appetites in order to form spiritual discipline and self-control. Muslims are prohibited from eating or drinking from dawn (fajr) to dusk (maghrib) when the adhan is sounded.

4) Hajj
> Hajj is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all adult Muslims who are physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey, and of supporting their family during their absence from home.

⚪️ These types of ibadah are vital for us to perform as Muslims in order to obtain the blessings from Allah SWT.
