A theme represented in To Kill a Mockingbird is be careful how you treat other people: they may treat you the same. This is shown when Atticus tells Jem and Scout to learn to walk in other peoples skin. Which made Scout and Jem show empathy on how others think making them realize that you should treat others the same because you don't know what others are going through and that they would not want to be treated differently either. Also when they misjudged Boo. Boo was always painted as a monster to everyone from all the rumors but as time went on Jem and Scout kind of sympathized with him and even when they talked bad about Boo or went to stalk him Boo did not treat them bad in fact he would leave them little gifts. This goes to show that you have to be careful how you treat others because you never know how they will respond back.

One detail is that Jem cried after he realized that Nathan Radley closed up the knothole. Another detail is that Boo Radley didn't really ever go outside, costing him his childhood. Thus, To Kill a Mockingbird is about how a child loses their innocence.

One theme of To Kill A Mockingbird is that real courage is not always readily seen. Atticus embodies this theme, because while he doesn't fight anyone with physical violence, he fights for justice. He defends Tom, which is unheard of in the setting of this novel. He also protects his children, which is the purest form of courage. Again, he actually tells Scout not to fight anyone on his behalf. Atticus is peaceful, but he also is defending what he thinks is right with valor and courage.

In the story "To Kill a Mockingbird" Loss of Innocence is when the children see the evilness in society. Jem and scout are the representation of loss of innocence. The test of their innocence comes when their father is appointed to defend a black man in the court room. They learn that people are not judge by their qualities or moral standards but by the color of their skin. Another example, is when Jem realized Nate radley lied to him about cementing up the tree. He cried because he realize that the tree isn't dying really dying and is aware of what Nate radley is trying to do. He realized that everything isn't always how it seems or appears.

The theme of To Kill A Mocking Bird(TKAM) is "Be careful on how you treat other people; they may treat you the same" Scout is a perfect example of this with her actions on Walter Cunningham. She doesn't treat him well and does not want to eat dinner with him. Lucky for her he never treated her in the same way but he had many opportunities to. The meaning of "Be careful on how you treat other people, they may treat you the same." this means the way you treat other may reflect on you and people could possibly treat you the same way.

The theme that is represented in "To Kill a Mockingbird" would be that innocence is lost when children see the evilness in society. This whole story was about three children basically going through adulthood and seeing the evilness of the world and become less innocent. We see their father fighting for Tom's rights although most of the town doesn't agree. That brings Scout and Jem to a realization that there are a lot that is happening and they have to choose if they think it's right or wrong. They become more mature and loose innocence.

They had the courage to prove what's right and what's wrong. Attics shows courage by defending a black man when everyone hates him. Jem and Scout shows courage that night at the jail cell the black man was being held at. They showed up to stand against the mob that wanted to hurt the black man.

"Be careful how you treat other people; they may treat you the same "is a theme that is developed in How to Kill in a Mockingbird. A way that this theme is shown in the movie is how Mr. Ewell treated everyone, one person being Atticus with no respect or human decency and in the end when Mr. Ewell was murdered the sheriff and Atticus came to an agreement of not reporting his murder, saying it was justice being served. This shows how the way Mr. Ewell treated those around him with no respect so in the end those same people showed no respect towards him either. Another example where this theme is showcased is when Mrs. Dubose constantly shouted rude comments at Scout, Jem, and Atticus even when they tried to show her kindness. Jem finally lost his cool and destroyed Mrs. Dubose flowers. Although Jem got in trouble for destroying the flowers, Jem wouldn't have felt he had to do that if Mrs. Dubose was kind and thoughtful.

According to the book, Jem was crying because Mr. Radley fill the tree with cement and he said the tree was dying. A kid shouldn't see why a evil person destroy a living things. Jem, Scout, and Dill watched Atticus fight for the right of Tom Robinson and they talk about adult stuff. No kid should know why a person for being charged from their color.

Children lose their innocence when they finally see all the evilness in the world . Throughout the story there are numerous occasions when scout and jem are seen crying. As the story progresses they cry more and com across more challenges. one example of this is when Atticus chooses to support a black man. They soon learn that people are judged for their skin and their appearance rather than the morals and qualities of that person. This evil is racial injustice and a biased society. Because of this the kids grow up to be more mature, they are not innocent kids anymore they are responsible young adults who are fully aware of the hardships society will throw at them and at others.

Many details showed how courage was shown such as Atticus standing up for Tom Robinson, just because no one else would just because of his skin color and his appearance.Which would cause the towns folk to call Atticus names when Atticus was in the right. He showed courage throughout the case because of him not standing with the crowd and making a stand when it came to his own beliefs. He fought for what was right when no one would which showed a lot of courage.

Ignorance breeds ignorance is message that runs through To Kill a Mockingbird. Throughout the novel, there are examples of innocent children who are racist at a young age. For example, Cecil Jacobs tells Scout the her father is a "n lover". Cecil Jacob is probably no more than 8 years old and he probably doesn't even know why he is saying what he is saying. He has learned this behavior from his parents and the society in which he grew up. Cousin Francis repeats derogatory and racist phrases that he has learned from his parents. Ignorance means lacking knowledge. When parents lack knowledge about certain topics, that pass that ignorance onto their children and this is very evident in To Kill a Mockingbird.

Like Atticus he had a lot of courage to fight for Tom Robinson in TKAM. Many people were against him because it was a very racist time. Since he was fighting for a black man he had a lot of courage because he knew that he was going to get a lot of hate and backlash. But he still did it and it showed he had courage. He left a great example of courage for Scout and Jem as well.
