Here are some examples of some emerging technologies which can be useful for arts and culture online:

1.     Machine learning enables us to find patterns in complex data, brings new ways to look at the content (connects the audience and the content, and helps museums to organize and analyze their content). 

2.     X Degrees of separation tries to answer the question: What is the connection between any 2 artworks. This allows you to take a fresh look at the work of art and find new meanings.

3.     Tags uses a neural network that automatically applies text labels to image pixels. It uses picture recognition to sort the artworks by keywords, so you can search for some picture in a novel way. It brings new way to browse cultural heritage. 

4.     T-SNE Map: all the artworks are organized in this map by visual similarity alone. It is a 3D landscape where you can navigate in a world made of artworks (a way to visualize artworks that look similar, to discover new connections between these artworks). 

5.     Also on the website and the app, you can play games, visit historical places and world’s most famous museums, explore artifacts with Augmented reality, and over 100, 000 artworks in high definition. 

Of course this project is presented from a positive side, because it provides so many opportunities as much for visitors as for museums. 

The main advantages of such technology is the connections between pieces of art which the creators of this project rely on. As they say all artworks in the system of t-SNE MAP are organised by visual similarity between each other. Such 3D landscape may give a real chance for viewers to discover maybe new connections while navigate through them.

Another positive point is the new way to brouse cultural heritage by TAGS. Such network automatically applies text labels to image pixels. With the help of keywords we may sort the artworks with the use of in novel way within the picture.

At the same time such tecnology not only helpful for visitors but also for the museum itself. It may be available to give a hand for museum workers to organise and analyse their content.

"AGAINST"

Such points were not mentioned in the video as it has to be inspirational to show that google made a real breakthrough in the field of digital.

But in every project there might be minuses in technology. So I will say that such disadvantage describes the very system of priorities that the program selects.

It is not necessary that all the links will be wrong, but the functions may slow down due to too much information and short recorded facts about the pictures. This option is quite possible. But still there are more pluses than minuses in such project.
