Russia was extremely affected by the treaty as their government had to surrender land to Germany. Land that include Finland, Poland, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Though the treaty dissolved after the war, the nations were still independent. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Kaiser Wilhelm II was forced to step down from power in November 9th of 1918. Germany then declared itself a republic.  A representative of Germany's new government and Marshal Foch then signed an armistice. This was an agreement to stop fighting, for peace. War World I then ended on November 11th. </div>]]></description>
