Mr. Balford Knocks, a 40 year old Banker of 12 Rob Cringle Drive, Estate Heights in the parish of St. Andrew states as follows: 
 
On the 17th day of January 2016, at approximately 6:30am while jogging on the sidewalk along Red Hills Road, in the vicinity of Red Hills Mall, I was hit by a Red Toyota Celica Licensed 6060 BA.  The driver of the car Michael Seaga, of 23 Graham Heights Boulevard, Kingston 2, in the parish of St. Andrew was speeding down the road and overtook a line of traffic, prior to attempting to make a right turn onto Red Hills Boulevard.  He made this turn without indicating and he lost control of the vehicle when faced with a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.  
 
I was taken to the University Hospital where I was hospitalized for six months. My injuries included a broken leg and broken right arm and a fractured skull.  There were lacerations to my body, face and right arm.  I was unconscious for two days.  After regaining consciousness I was in great pain for the entire three months.  At present I still feel some discomfort in my right leg. 
I lost a lot of blood and I refused to take blood.  As a consequence of this I suffered a slight brain damage.  It has affected my long term memory I do not remember anything from my high school years. 
 
As a result of the accident I was absent from work for nine months and I lost income of $700,000.00 for the three months in which I was absent.  My expenses are         $1,500.00 which I paid for medication, taxi fare to and from doctor $2,000.00 for 10 visits, $3,000.00 for new Pajamas, Hospital fees $1,600.00.  In addition I spent $1,000.00 for the medical certificate and $600.00 for the Police Report. 
 
At the time of the accident I earned the sum of $100.000.00 per month.  I can no longer earn this sum because I have had to seek employment elsewhere due to the fact that I am not able to cope with the demand and work load as a Banker.  I am now employed as an Administrative Assistant at a salary of $50,000.00 monthly.
