In traditional Chinese weddings, the ceremony is only a very small element of the wedding day. Vows are exchanged at a local government office as the paperwork is signed and then the couple attend an intimate ceremony. where they stand at the family altar and pay their respects to nature, family ancestors, and deities. The ceremony is complete when the couple bow to each other.

From what I know it's more common to marry for love, rather than arranged, and it is really nice to know, that less people are being forced to marry someone they don't love. I also remember that red and green are the dominant hues in their wedding, wich is definetely much more different than the black and white weddings.

Because it is very different than the typical Lithuanian wedding or any other European wedding I've seen.
The vibrant red colour makes everything very unique. For the gifts they put money into a red envelope and present it to the bride and the groom. In the ceremony they pay respects to the nature and their family ancestors, at the end of the ceremony they will bow to each other. There is also a thing called  “Double Happiness Cakes”  which they will send to their relatives and friends.

It was nice to find out about the other side of the world and how they handled stuff like weddings.
