"have you found someone to share your heart with?"

When Morrie asked Mitch if he had found someone to share his heart with I couldn't help but think back to my closest friends and family in Denmark. How every living moment until I traveled to the United States I shared my heart with them. I personally think it's really important to find someone to share your love with. If its a alot or a few, it doesn't matter. Humans are made to love. The girls that I'm standing with in the picture are my closest friends, that I love dearly. So if Morrie asked me that question I would say "Yes, I share my heart with many."

Love is the only rational act"

I agree with Morrie on this one. Love comes in many forms. Tough love, loving love and subtle love. I think its important to love and to share your love. Love never dies and to assure that people don't forget is to shower them with your love. Before I travel to the United States I was always with my inner circle to assure them that I held them close to my heart even when I was away. And also to assure myself that they wouldn't forget me. In my situation love was the only rational act.

I somehow agree with morries quote I dont think you should be prepared for dying, but if you were to die, you should be happy for what you have accomlished and the relations you have to the people around you. The way I think about the quote is be openminded and hearted, and never to say no to an adventure. You WILL be regreting saying no on your deathbed. Thet why i choose to do an exchange year when I got offerd it. I knew if I didnt say yes I would be regreting it years later. potentially on my deathbed.

"People haven't found meaning in their life's, so they're running all the time looking for it"

Sometimes I also get caught running to find meaning in my life. For example I moved to a new country thinking it would fix my life. New home, new people, new everything. Spoiler alert it didn't fix my life. All the running you eventually get tired. In my exchange year journey I have learned to be grateful for what you have and cherish the present. Before coming here I caught myself thinking "when I'm in America..." even though I still was back in Denmark. And Now I catch myself thinking "When I'm back in Denmark..." It made me realize that you need to be happy where you are and not wishing yourself away to another place. Another life.

In the picture you see me and my youngest cousin. The thing about babies is that they give as much love as you give them. I shower her with my unconditional love and she gives it right back to me. She has taught me not to hide my love but to show it. And how to receive it.

“As long as we can love each other, and remember the feeling of love we had, we can die without ever really going away. All the love you created is still there. All the memories are still there. You live on—in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here.”

I were seeing these people every day for the last 10 years of my life and all of a sudden that chapter of my life was gone. Some of these people I might never see again but the memories I have with them will never be erased. They have touched my heart and therefore they're not forgotten.
