Differences between a Mobile Website And an App?

Mobile Website
> Designed specifically for the smaller screens and touch-screen capabilities of smartphones and tablet.
> Mobile website can display text content,data,image and video.

Apps
>  A smartphone or tablet application.

Secondly,Mobile website can only be accessed online while mobile apps can be used offline. 
Thirdly,Mobile app is more expensive to develop than mobile website.
Fourtly, Mobile apps can only be used with certain Operating System(OS) while mobile website can be used on any phone that can access the internet. Lastly,, Mobile apps tend to use less internet data because the assets have already been downloaded while mobile website will have to render images for every pages they use.
