Curico’s Grape Harvest Festival is one of the most impressive, involving a religious ceremony to bless the first pulped batch of grapes, a colorful parade, the crowning of a harvest queen, and stomping competitions.

  • Empanadas: pastry filled with meat, cheese or mussels.
  • Cazuela: homemade stew with beef, chicken, corn, rice and potatoes.
  • Asado: barbecue of beef, pork or chicken.
