On Wednesday, November 12, Phileddelphia minted the last ever penny. In Feburary, Trump announced that the production of pennies be ceased because it costs about four cents to mint a penny, which is greater than the coin's worth. Although production has stopped, there are still about 300 million pennies in circulation.

National Parks have been highly impacted by the government shutdown. During the government shutdown so many national parks stayed open. This seems great, except for the part that there were no National Park officials. This puts a lot of pressure on National Park employees to clean up the parks. Some of the things the public did to these parks are horrific. Such as leaving trash everywhere for animals to access, and utilizing graffiti on National landmarks that have stood thousands of years in their beauty. This is a true shame as these parks are very beautiful, but hopefully they can all get cleaned up as soon as possible.

After the shutdown of the government was over, all of the workers that have not been doing there job get a back pay since it is not there fault of the shutdown. This never actually hurt the economy since everyone is getting payed back after there time off.

On Tuesday, November 11th, Nico Harrison, who was the GM of the Dallas Mavericks, was fired. He was fired for the sole purpose of trading their star player, Luka Doncic, who has been in the All-Stars numerous times, and took their team to the NBA Finals 2 years ago. Ever since trading Luka, he has had rumors that he was going to be fired. But, almost a year after that trade, he is now not a part of that organization.

Egypt just launched trains that go up to 155 miles per hour. The first train departed on November 9th and reached 99 miles per hour. This train started planning in 2018, and finally reached the finish line. The train is accessible to 90% of their population. This train will save people money, time, and help the air pollution from cars. The track is 1,200 miles long with 41 different trains.

After the shutdown, previous leader of the national park agency Jonathan Jarvis began to face major scrutiny due to closing all of the national parks in a previous shutdown in 2013. During the most recent shutdown, the Trump Administration decided to keep all 401 national parks open, causing major consequences. Since many of the workers were laid off during the shutdown, the parks were not being taken care of or watched over as they should've been. Thee was vandalism in Arches national park, a large fire in Joshua National park, and many other problems. Now that the shutdown is over, all of the workers have to clean up the mess left behind due to the poor decision that they had no say in making.

The Senate is expected to receive the House-passed version of the bill for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files and pass it along to President Donald Trump on Wednesday morning.

Late Tuesday afternoon, the Senate unanimously agreed to approve the bill the House passed earlier in the day. When it arrives from the House, it will be deemed immediately passed by the Senate.

The unanimous action by the Senate means there will be no amendments or changes to the bill, as House Speaker Mike Johnson and other members of his Republican leadership team had urged.
