My first impression of hopscotch is that I am very impressed of what it does. It starts with the basics and when you spend more time on the app then you will learn more. It is really fun because it is like you are making an app to publish. I like how it has a vedio to show you what you need to do instead of just having words because sometimes it is boring reading the words.

Setion Six
New skills that I have learned is how to code because I wasn't here for the first lesson. What I found challenging is to remenber what numbers to put in for the triangle and square to make it work. What I learned about my ability to problem solveing is that you need to shut down your I pad our shut down safari. I enjoyed this style of learning because it is a fun way to learn for the future. Mathematical skills that we had to use are things like using the X and the Y and knowing how big the I pad is.

Session 3 14/6/17

What worked well is getting all the codes done for the hero and obstacle. What didn't worked is trying to make sure that the triangle is at the same level as the square when comes back because on an iPad it is different t a phone. What I leaned was that it is hard to try and fit three obstacles on the one stage plus the hero. What I would do differently is not to think that the video would be exactly the same on an iPad because is where I made most of my mistakes. My next step is putting my code in for my third obstacle.

My first impressions on hopscotch is that it is very easy to code on it. And that it is very good for people who wants to start coding. And I leaned how to make wack a mole/robot what I found easy is getting the characters but it was hard because the robot went in the wrong direction the first time so I had to do it two times.

I leaned to code wack a mole/robot and what i found challenging is to make the spinner spin for my game and I used to have a go to problem solve. I enjoyed this style because it fun to code I use -take away because i had to take away the number. I learned to code wack a mole/robot an what i found challenging was to make the spinner spin for my game and I used a goto routine to solve the problem. I enjoyed this style because it fun to code. I used variables to make the robot move. I used subtraction to make the numbers smaller.
I think I could create a wack a mole game that shows your score and a geometry dash game.

What worked well is getting the characters and what did not work well is that I deleted the code so i had to do it a again.

I leaned how to make geometry dash/ bridey dash.

What i would put a points scoring system.

And my next step is to make the hero disappear and complet the game.

What I achieved today is on how to make geometry dash/bridey dash.

What i leaned is on how to make a back round.

What worked well is to make my bird disappear.

What i would do differently is that i would put more objects in and add a scoring system.

My impersonation of hopscotch is that it is really good and fun because when i saw you can make anything like make a movie and games. When I first went into it it looked confusing because there were things that i thought shouldn't be there but when i got to play with it a bit i got use to it and found out how to work it.

The new skills i learned was that you can make your character jump and make them move up the wall and on the ground and make them different colours this made i think that I tried hard and figured out how to make a game but when I got stuck i would go back to the video and that would help me get thought it. I think I could create a game with my coding skills becauase it is easy to make a game when you know what to do and you have a lot of experience of making them. Yes i did enjoy this style of working because you have games that you can have fun with but to anwer the question you have to think

Session 3 i think what worked well was when i got rthe hang of it because at the Start it was hard and confusing for me and what did not work well was the person talking to you he was not giving me some more info about somethings and i lernt that it is easier using the guy because he help you go thought it and i would do next time is maybe work out more things on it and my next step is trying to get the triangle to move faster than before and get more things to help me.

Season 4

I achieved today that i can make the object move because before i had the hero moving but now i know that I don't need to make that move.
I learned how to make the back round and make things move
What worked well that my objects were moving by the th time the season finished.
I would do dinffrenly is Maby going to use the help thing more now that i forgot a bit about it but i think this app is a good app to use.

My first impression is the way there were just options and not letters, numbers and symbols which is great. It's great that it starts at the basics and builds it's way up. It is also affective and it's fun.

Period 6
I learnt coding takes alot of time and patience. I found it challenging to keep up with the video. I learnt that my ability to problem solve was not needed because I didn't face any problems. I enjoyed this style of learning because it's fun. I used my knowledge of angles to help make shapes. I think I could make a colour shape sort of game.

Session 3 14/6/17.

I found tha getting all the commands went well because it was easy but sometimes confusing. The things that didn't work well were the hero didn't do what I wanted it to do. I learnt coding requires concentration and precision. I would watch the video rather than just try to do it on my own. All I need to do now is to finish some code for the hero.

Session 4 23/6/17

I achieved the background and also finished off the hero. I learnt that to do the background you do a random number, say 1,000,000,000, set colour and then, set back. The way the hero functions was great. If I could change something I'd like to change the obstacle codes so it wasn't so random

My first impression of hopscotch was that it was going to be numbers and letters combined to makes some sort of game. And I thought that it would be hard to make a game and that the game would need an unusual code to make it work like technology or an iPad that can do a lot even though it is so small.

A new skill I learnt is to code and make games. I Found making the games hard or challenging. I found my ability to problem solve very easy because I did not need to use it. I think that I used geometry skills as maths

My first impression was I was going to be bad at it but I managed to make something and then it was really fun. I learnt how to make a character and how to make it move. I found it easy because it wasn't hard to see where the characters were and I tried to not ask questions when I was making it. I found it challenging when I couldn't get back on to edit it.

Session 2
I learned how to make a proper geometry dash game which was so fun. I found it challenging when the instructions were going so fast and I couldn't keep up. I learned that you have to try before you do. I enjoyed this style of learning because you got to make a fun game. I think I used x and y axis to position the character I say that because then the game would of malfunctioned. I think I could create a game to help people read and write.

Session 3 14/6/17
I think I worked well at the start but at the middle point it was getting harder. It didn't work as good as the start because my iPad was glitched in the app. Something I learnt is to do it slow and steady so you don't mix the instructions up. I think I might do an easier game to make. Im pretty sure that my next step is to make more obstacles.

Session 4 23/6/17
I didn't really achieve anything because I accidentally deleted all of the obstacles movement so I had to do it again. I learnt that you have to be careful where you put your finger. Nothing worked well apart from getting something done again. I would probably ask for help next time and whatch where I put my finger.

Session 5 27/6/17

I learnt how to change colours of objects like the square and triangle. I also learnt that it is okay to ask friends for help when you really need it. As I accidentally deleted my work on Geometry Dash, Xavier E helped me achieve re-making an obstacle for me.

I think I did well in making more obstacles once I’d watched Xavier once. Then I was able to space them out so the game could be played longer. Something I'd would do differently is asking about the background so then I could put it in. The video did not help with this.

Setion 2
New skills that I have learned is how to code because I wasn't here for the first lesson. What I found challenging is to remenber what numbers to put in for the triangle and square to make it work. What I learned about my ability to problem solveing is that you need to shut down your I pad our shut down safari. I enjoyed this style of learning because it is a fun way to learn for the future. Mathematical skills that we had to use are things like using the X and the Y and knowing how big the I pad is.

Setion 3
What worked well is getting all the codes done for the hero and obstacle. What didn't worked is trying to make sure that the triangle is at the same level as the square when comes back because on an iPad it is different t a phone. What I leaned was that it is hard to try and fit three obstacles on the one stage plus the hero. What I would do differently is not to think that the video would be exactly the same on an iPad because is where I made most of my mistakes. My next step is putting my code in for my third obstacle.

Setion 4
What I achieved is my last obstacle code and the background. What I’ve learnt this session is how to make the background. What worked well is doing the last code for my last obstacle. What I would do differently next time is watch the video again.

Session 4 Austen Bartle 23/6/17

Today i achieved getting my third obstacle in and also the background in and finishing off the game. What i learned was how to do the background because in the tutorial video it did not show how to colour the background and if you leave one coding bit at the end the screen goes a colour and you can't see the square. What worked well in the session was the background because at first i thought i knew how to do it by placing a lot of squares and making them all different colours, but you don't have to do that you just have one square and set it size really big so it would take up the whole screen. What i would do differently would watch the video more for more help on the third obstacle.

Session three Austen.B 14/6/17 . My first impression of hopscotch is that it is a really good app and it is fun to use and very hard to use. At first i thought it would be harder than it was, because when i saw other people using it it looked very hard but its not very hard. The thing that worked well on hopscotch for me was the 2nd obstacle I put down because in the end I figured it out and made it look scary because the stars are teleporting everywhere. I struggled with remembering the right coding options to put in to make the object move correctly and setting the position and how to make the object repeat forever in a pattern. I leant that coding looks really easy but its not and just because you think you can do it does not mean you can and I learnt how to code without help. What I would do differently next time is probably watch the guide more to learn because most of the time I was guessing from the first time I watched the video. My next step in building the game is creating the third obstacle to stop my sauare.

Session 5 Austen

What i learned today was how to publish your piece of work and also fix that my objects could not make the hero die. What i did well today was finishing my project by adding emojis and design to it, also i fixed my objects problem with not making the hero die.

My first impressions of Hopscotch were great because I thought the app was amazing, by how many things you can do in the app. This app was amazing because you could make alot of games and apps because it had so many features. When I first used Hopscotch it was very difficult because it had so many controls but later I kind of got the hang of it. In my opinion this was one of the best coding apps.

Session 2

A new skill I learnt was to problem solve. I found creating the games challenging because it had so many features. I learned that my problem solving skills are good because it helped figure things out easier. I enjoyed this type of learning because I like coding. I used my never giving up skill to make me complete the tasks. With my coding skills i think i'll be able to create alot of games and apps.

Session 3

My hero jumping worked well. What didn't work well was my obstacles moving because they kept on stopping and moving and they confused me. I learned that coding is not that easy to do and you need to problem solve alot in coding. I would listen to the video more carefully next time because since I didn't listen I got confused. My next step was to create the other obstacles.

Session 4

I achieved making the obstacles and making the background. I learned how to make a background. Making the obstacles to move smoothly worked really well because I didn't have to fix anything. I would use my use of time differently because I didn't get to do much

Session 5

I learnt that if you problem solve you can achieve alot of things. Something I did good was using my time wisely because I achieved alot of things not mucking around and playing. Something I would change is making my game harder, because when I played it, it was very easy to complete and it required a little amount of effort

Watching an video was tough because ou need to keep track of it

Watching an video doesn't answer your questions.

Session 1

My first impressions on hopscotch was that I really enjoyed it. It contains a mixture of fun and leaning. The coding is really easy and reliable . Hopscotch is a good app if you like leaning while having fun. I can not wait to use it again. The coding and characters are on fleek. It is basically you imagination combined with the real world. You can create anything from jumping gorillas to colour changing text. It is a really good and enjoyable app. But like all apps there is still a downside. It would be better if you could do more commands. Like seriously for the action like jumping and stuff can you like add a bit more? The game also can lag a lot sometimes and it could be impossible to load and use. Apart from that my first impressions on the game was good. 9/10(for first impressions). :)

Session 2

The new skills that I have learnt are telling certain variables or entities where to go to or do. The things that I have found challenging was actually getting to find the block that I made and named to be the position where the triangle was meant to go to. I learnt that if i tried hard enough that I would actually figure out what to do. I enjoyed this style of learning because it is fun and still informative. The mathematical skills I used were coordination and angles. This is because if you want to make the object to turn a quarter to the left then you do the negative integers and for the right you do positive integers . You also need angles to turn 90 degrees .etc. because then which direction will you move? You could create anything if you use your imagination in coding.

Session 3

What worked well was that I managed to fit 2 objects on at the same time and that i got two actions for my 'hero' to do. What didn't work well was that I kept on getting confused of where the code actions were because bit of the screen was covered by the video but I moved it somewhere else later when I got really confused. I learnt that if you have two objects on the board, you have to set their x position on the set position different to the other one or else they will be too close together. What I would do differently was to make more use of my time and not looking back at the video. My next step is to add 1 more object and add a background

Session 4

What I achieved today was putting in a background and a third object in. I learnt that if you make the number of times that the background grows like 2 times, then it won’t cover the whole screen. What worked well was that I learnt how to make a background without glitching the game. What I would do differently is to experiment making letters to entertain the players.

Conner Bassett

Do not delete

Conner Bassett 23/6/1

Session 4

What l achieved today was quite a bit. I learnt and memorised what to do now and all l need to do is copy and paste my obsticales. I also achieved today to make my obstacle move an repeat over and over again. What worked well was l did a lot of progress in today's session on hopscotch. What also worked well was the timing of l did my obstacle in because using the video really helps me a lot. What l’d differently next time would be of were l start my project because l need to keep on going in out of the video. This troubles me because it uses my time which makes my time wise not used well. Since did this occur l need get a scotch on otherwise l won’t get this project finished.

Session 3

What worked well was that the video was there to help me with my project and took me through steps which then l looks d and copied. Today l did a lot work comparing to last week because l didn't know what or how to do this.

What didn't work well was that l had to make up my own things and not rely on the video to help me. This didn't work well for me because it was hard to play then go back and the things which the video showed me weren't always correct.

I learned that finish you work with video you can accomplish a lot than without no experience for your first time.

What l would do next time is look at the video while l am doing it because l did it on a different spreadsheet which made me waste time.

My next for my draft would be reappearing the obstical so the hero can jump over it.

SESSION 2

My skills which l learnt were controlling my shapes by you need to press certain things to get what you want. This took me a while to do this and learned it bit by bit. What l found challenging was being able to get what l wanted to was challenging because l didn't know how to do it. I learnt that you need to go through an process to get what you want not just in an click. I didn't enjoy this stlye of learning because how otherwise how are you going to get better. Watching an video was tough because ou need to keep track of it

Watching an video doesn't answer your questions. The mathitical methods l used were having a go and thinking logically because for some things l didn't know what to do next because the answer isn't hoping to jump right to you. What things l can make could be making an game which doesn't have a step to follow

Session 4

What l achieved today was quite a bit. I copied and pasted and finished my work. What didn't work well was that it took a lot of time which led me to time wasting. I learned to copy and paste everything and complete this task.

Session 5

Something that I learnt today is the fact that sometimes if your game glitches because of a error or some description, it is probably because you set something to do an action millions of times. To fix this you can just use the repeat forever command. What I did well today was that I achieved to put in a colour changing background and hero and I also got my third object in. What I would do differently next time is try and make some different codes or text for entertainment.

Jesse cooke 2.6.17

My first impression of hopscotch was it is very easy but now I have tryed I found out it is very tricky and can sometimes be really annoying when it comes to making your own a making rules for your characters and objects. When you use this app you have to use your imagination when you have to make a game and you can make one like a flying hamburger with a lolly pop riding on it.I think this app is very fun and enjoyable because it helps you cool down and you can play on it for hours and hours. I think this is a great app for young people like me and my friends to play on maybe even adults could love this game.(:

The new skills I learned where that you need to be very patient when you are making your game and you need to make sure that you follow the steps. The thing I found challenging was finding all the things on the screen because the guy who was making the video had a different hopscotch screen to me and I couldn't find everything. My problem solving abilities I found out that I have a lot in my brain that I don't always use but this was challenging so I used them. This style of learning is very fun and I enjoyed using it. The mathimaticle skills I used where placement and strength of my brain to follow steps. I say this because placemeant was a key in this topic. My own Idea I have is to add different obstacles and make it more interesting for people who would like to play geometry dash. Session 3 14.6.17

The thing that worked well was when I was changing things and when I went to play it, it was what I wanted to happen with what I was doing. What didn't work well was when I was trying to fix things like the name of the obstacles where not working but eventually it did, I think this happened because I was not pressing the name so it didn't go on to where you can change the name.something I learned about this task is that you need to problem solve a lot when you do it so you are concentrating. Next time if I changed something it would probably how I place and change things on the settings because it is very confusing at the moment. My next step is to do the second obstacle and the third and the background. 23.6.17 session 4

The thing I achieved today was getting the task finished and not having to do it for homework because my kind friend Xavier. Engel helped me with my task soo I could get it done. I learned how to put a background in the hopscotch app also because of my kind friend Xavier. Engel. What worked well was when I got the background in because there was two minutes well and it wasn't working at the start but I got it done. Next time I would use my time wisely in the session before because last time I mainly watched the video the whole time.

Session 5 27.6.17

Something I learned was that you really need to think of what your doing before you do it because you need to think what your character is going to do. Something I personally think I did well was the way I set it out because it looks really creative and looks really cool, that is what I obviously think in my opinion. Next time I would not ask for that much help and just get on with it myself and safe my time in what I do.

Setion 5
What I learned is that for the bumps you need to do it three separate times. Something that I did

well is is problem solving because there was a problem with my game but I fixed it. What I would do differently is maybe try and watch the video if I am having trouble.
