         <description><![CDATA[<p>Born in 1452, Leonardo da Vinci lived near Florence Italy where he began his journey. He is best known for two of his masterpieces, the "Mona Lisa" and "The Last Supper." The "Mona Lisa" was a painting developed between 1503 and 1506 after da Vinci escaped from the French invasion in Milan. This painting is the only one of da Vinci's works to still remain in today's society. </p>]]></description>

This piece was made to reflect on the Monastery of Santa Maria. This shows the passover dinner in which Jesus attended to address his Apostles and give the news "One of you shall betray me."</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Born in March of 1475, Michelangelo was a great painter and sculptor, making many great works of art during his time period. While doing his work in Rome of 1498, he developed his Pieta. The sculpture demonstrated Virgin Mary holding her dead son in her arms. This work of art is one of many that Michelangelo was known for.</p>]]></description>

He sculpted a large figure of David to showcase his strength, heroics, power, spirit, and energy as depicted from the bible. This statue holds a height of 17 feet tall and is there to enhance fame of cities.</p>]]></description>

The painting represents the first time Raphael had viewed a female's body in a no-clothed form from two separate perspectives. </p>]]></description>
